Will Smith's LIFE ADVICE On Manifesting Success Will CHANGE YOUR LIFE In 2022 | Jay Shetty

  • Жарияланды 2021 ж. 18 Сәу.
  • Will Smith is an actor, producer and musician, two-time Academy Award nominee, Grammy Award and NAACP award winner who has enjoyed a diverse career encompassing films, television and multi platinum records. Starting as a rapper in 1985, Smith is best known for his acting roles in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, I Am Legend, the Bad Boys and Men in Black film series, Aladdin and Hitch. His vast filmography also includes transformative portrayals of true-life icons in Ali, The Pursuit of Happyness and Concussion.
Today, I sit down with Will Smith to talk about his commitment to family, straying away from his father’s military mindset in search of true happiness, and how to live the golden rule - to treat others how you want to be treated.
00:47 Today, Jay Shetty welcomes his dear friend, Will Smith as they reminisce about the happy times and adventures they spent together, and how their friendship flourished as Will studies the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita.
07:00 Jay asks Will: “Tell us a bit about what you learned from your parents and how you were able to process it positively? It’s not easy to process negative emotions with positive thoughts.
12:02 Jay is curious about how Will continues to achieve success with a loving heart. It’s never easy to live with a military mindset yet even with success and fame it didn’t feel like true happiness.
17:29 Jay asks listeners to put their minds in the middle path while Will suggests learning from an athlete’s mindset and level of discipline to manifest the things that they want in their life.
20:11 Jay mentions how Will’s grandmother had a huge impact in his life. It's all about finding peace by living your life in service. His parents, on the other hand, had different principles and pushed for totally different things, yet they showed him how life should be lived.
25:14 Jay talks about the hard work Will had to do that people don’t really see. A lot of people have not seen the learning accumulated through hard work, the sacrifices made along the way, and the military mindset that Will cradled so deeply within.
32:06 Jay points out that most superheroes get their powers when bad things happen to them. This is also true for everyone, that most of our experiences happen to teach us a lesson. Will then added that there is no such thing as a bad experience.
35:57 Jay taps into Will’s last moments with his father and how he coped with the loss. The lesson learned from the experience is to always be genuine with your every “Hello” and “Goodbye”, who knows it could be the last.
42:51 Jay asks Will about how the tradition to learn new religion every year, how this strengthened his bond with Jada, and the lessons learned while studying these different religions.
49:07 Jay talks to Will about the wisdom within books, how past people had lived through the same problems that most of us are dealing with today. Treating people the way you want to be treated is essential in maintaining peaceful relationships around you.
54:53 Jay explains the Analogy of the Mirror wherein people become so disconnected from nature that everything becomes instant and our mindset has become NOW whereas nature is never instant.
56:29 Jay shares the first time he communicated with Will. It surprised him how Will can be so committed to the things he sets his mind on. And that prompted Jay to relearn and fall back in love with the things he fell in love years ago. Commitment is changing yourself through constant practice.
58:54 Will explains why the central focus of his life is having a successful love relationship. This determination came after his experience with his parents divorce. He continues to seek knowledge on achieving this goal.
01:01:28 Will discusses why the concepts of ignorance and delusion are always the center of problems in every human relationship. All issues within human relations stem from a lack of understanding.
01:07:59 Will retells his unforgettable encounter with Nelson Mandela and how he was offered to be his student about life struggles.
01:13:42 Jay is curious why Will is so moved by the Story of Arjun. Will eagerly explains the story and why it resonated with so much.
01:21:06 Jay explains that most of us are living our life based on the result of our actions, which we think is a sign of success. We shouldn’t be living a life based on the possible results of our actions, instead we should live for ourselves and our own happiness.
01:26:25 Jay and Will agree on this: It's not a problem if you have comprehension of what's happening around you. You don't call things problems that you have complete comprehension of.
01:31:05 Will relives his character as The Genie, a character so similar to his personality, his core. The concept of the sacred clown, the singing, dancing, and joy it brings, is beautiful conduit for the ideas.

*There is no such thing as a "self-made" man. We are made up of thousands of others. Everyone who has ever done a kind deed for us, or spoken one word of encouragement to us, has entered into the make-up of our character and of our thoughts, as well as our success.*
    Have a great day!

Absolutely we all have our flaws & breaking points I can't agree anymore for sure"!!! Especially growing up in an abusive dysfunctional household." I can Definitely relate to Will not excusing his behavior however understanding his triggers. Now with that said we must master first what makes us calm & peaceful first I believe. Then from there when we find ourselves getting weak or when someone tries to get us out of our element or antagonize us. Well we again must go to that peaceful place immediately. Because so many times we can be our worst enemy not realizing that our thoughts can provocus even more than a negative human being." So again I stand with Will on him needing that comfort & clarity. He as many others need to heal as myself I Definitely need & Deserve to heal from past trauma"!! 💯🙏❤️✨😇

@HeartHugz I just wanna know how it is to live the perfect life without any imperfections or mistakes? It must be hard being so perfect. The man made a great mistake, one he hasn't done before, the man also has to deal with loving a person who wants nothing but to hurt and humiliate him. There is a expression, love is blind, Will has been blinded by his love for his wife. He made a mistake, so everyone should cancel him right? I feel bad for you, because all this anger you are taking out on him is a reflection of stuff that has happened in your life. It will be ok, you grown from it, your still here, so that means you still have time to get the hate out of your heart. I'll pray for you.

Chris Rock needs a lot of love as well obviously. Let's not forget this started from him humiliating his "brother's" wife before the world on the biggest night of Will's career. Will was about to become the 5th Black man to win Best Actor after a whole awards season where everyone knew this. So unnecessary on Chris' part, indicative of some deep issues and completely unacknowledged. This podcast is about ignorance on both sides and that went right over your head.

This was a beautiful interview. You can tell they are friends, it's the flow of conversation. So many things stuck out to me but what really got me was when he spoke about the transition of his father and how he was able to say his peace and his final goodbye. It hit home for me cause when my mom transitioned, it was sudden but not completely unexpected but what I hold to my heart is although I didn't say goodbye but I spoke with her the night before and told her I love you mommy and she said, "I love you butterfly". I will hold that forever......

I’m so thankful for this video! I’ve been on my path of healing and ascension and this truly let me know that I’m in alignment with the universe!
I’m taken aback by how much I related with Will Smith and some of his experiences and what he was able to take away from those experiences! My parents divorced around the same age and it set me on a path that I came off of having endured a tremendous amount of trauma from.
However, it has made me extremely loyal and loving and caring in my relationships. I have a 2 year old daughter now, and I’m a single mother as well…. and I found myself ina Great Depression whenever her father and I split because I didn’t want her to be a product of a broken home like I was. I had a great job, had a home and a bed to lay my head, a car and plenty of money, but I was miserable. I quit my job to focus on my mental health and quickly realized that a toxic environment for my child was worse then her father and I not being together. And I found that the material things I had and the money I had wasn’t what life was all about. It’s truly about kindness and love and spreading it as much as you can. But I had to turn into a negative person to remember how positive I used to be and eventually I was able to find myself again.
Thank you both so much for this. Blessings, prosperity, abundance, positive energy and true happiness to the both of you ✨♥️

@Miss T with your phrase "connected by one" and "all rooted and connected to God (one root)" you are referring to that what I mean by singularity. From one root many manifestations are possible. So by you saying that we are not all one - of course we aren`t on a superficial level, because we are all different manifestations.

This was a great interview, especially the concept of understanding that your behaviour and someone's reactions to your behaviour are two totally different things. I think this concept has liberated me.
However, I have a question which Will Smith didn't answer, as much as I applaud his growth and transformation, does he truly think that if he had this mindset at the beginning of his career, he would have been this successful? It's one thing to speak against the military mindset after benefitting from it. Is it really possible to strive and succeed in a competitive industry without a killer mindset that is absolutely determined to win and breaking every thing that stands in the way? Can we be sure that you can be all nice and kind while in a competitive environment and win, or you will need to be an animal and focus on targets and ignore emotions?

A versatile actor who expresses his freedom of speech. I loved the way when he said about revenge.. Truth: It kills us innerwards and ruins ourselves. ONLY ANSWER IS LOVE AND KINDNESS TO KILL OUR EGOS .

1 Dear Christians, let's suppose Jesus willingly died for our sins, what did you gain from the sacrifice of Jesus if you must still repent just like the muslims ❓
2 Dear Christians, if Jesus is God what happened to his Godly powers when he decided to cry & beg for help before he was killed by a Jew ❓
3 Dear Christians, if Jesus was happy to die for our sins, why did he beg & cry for help ❓
4 Dear Christians, if Jesus was God, are you saying God died ❓
5 Dear Christians, if God is one & God died on the cross, who gave God life again ❓
6 Dear Christians, If Jesus' sacrifice has ended the need for animal sacrifice, why then are you christians still killing animals now ❓
7 Why Would a just God let Jesus suffer for our sins ❓

Love you, Will Smith. I'm glad I watched this interview of you today, I was very troubled after some disturbing headlines came up about you on my local conservative youtube channels a while back lol. I'm finally seeing you again. You and Jay have shared such powerful advice and teachings in this short podcast. I feel like our personalities are very alike, Will. Your grandmother sounds like the most beautiful woman. I've got a long journey ahead of me as a 24year old, but man I'm so happy and relieved to have burdens I've been carrying around in my heart for a while slowly dissipate when I listen to your wisdom. You and Jim Carrey are my idols :D

I would expect nothing but compassion from Jay Shetty because he is an outstanding kind individual. Don't get me wrong Will made a mistake, but Jay will not tear him apart for it. I would be done watching Jay forever if he did that.
