And these young players know wherever Coach Prime goes that scouts, media, current/former players, entertainers & cameras are gonna follow. That means they're gonna be talked about & seen all over. It's an opportunity of a lifetime for these young guys who are hoping to one day go pro. Coach Prime is the 🔌 who has one helluva entourage.

It just shows that money talks.
He had the masses thinking that the plan was to make HBCUs, along with the entire SWAC Conference as big of a deal as the Power 5.
But as soon as a Power 5 School came in with the Brinks Truck, he was out.
He used JSU as a springboard. He will not be the 1st, and he will not be the last.

No one saying the fact that Boulder is 5000+ ft above sea level. Opposing teams will have issues with high altitude, giving Colorado an edge because they’re training at that elevation. It also increases their stamina in lower elevations. This is significant.

He should be looking at Alabama, Ohio State, USC, Georgia as a WR one of the teams that can make the playoffs next year. USC will be coming off a 11-2 season with a Heisman QB returning. Alabama is 1 WR away from being a contender again. UGA is on a roll. Nobody develops WR's like Ohio State. He too good to be a centerpiece for a rebuilding team.
Travis Hunter had injury issues and most of his eye popping stats came in one game. Otherwise he kinda had a let down season. He certainly did not dominate like a once in a decade player he was billed to be. Especially against inferior talent he lined up against in the SWAC. Can he bounce back? Sure but I think he's going to have a tougher time playing on both sides of the ball in the Pac 12 if he comes. I think playing him on both sides of the ball is a error in judgment he would be an outstanding WR if he focused on that 100% or CB if he focused on that.

If he believed in Deion enough to come to a HBCU, why wouldn't he come to Colorado?! Deion has also recruited a 5-Star receiver for 2024. The "rebuild" won't take as long as you think. Deion had D1 talent at an HBCU and they're coming too.....He knows how to recruit and evaluate talent. They'll also get national attention the entire season to see what he does. It is best place for him.

It’s time for that young man to smarten up. Don’t waste your time with a Colorado team that has to go into serious rebuilding mode. He should transfer to a top 5 program and begin to show the NFL scouts that he can be exceptional while playing against other exceptional athletes. Deion Sanders abandoned JSU to do what was best for him. But Deion Sanders is not a fast track to the pros. Other programs have the history of sending multiple players to the NFL each year, year after year. That’s where he needs to be.

    • Nathan Hollis

@Red Aquarian sure Hunter will be found. But playing against the talent at USC, Utah, Oregon, Washington, and the others on a bad team will make him look bad. So as a teams general manager I can justify not drafting him until the late second round or early third. That way I can slot first round talent into a third round salary slot for 5 years. My boss will be happy, happy. Even at JSU he played well, but didn’t dominate that level of competition. He has not played against other multiple 5 star players on a team so the jury is still out. Playing along side exceptional players on great teams almost assure an elevated draft slot. It’s time to let Coach Sanders go on with his rebuilding campaign, but he doesn’t have to be a part of it. Everyone say he’s one of the best, so he has to showcase that by playing with the best. But he’ll probably follow Coach Sanders😂

    • Habibi

@Red Aquarian I disagree. That’s like saying Kobe would have been a star even if he was on a bad team. He was a star because of Shaw, Phil Jackson, the lakers, etc. This is a team sport.

    • Red Aquarian
      Red Aquarian 2 ай бұрын

That’s a thought. However, this is 2022 and going back at least 15 years NFL Scouts know where the best players are balling in college. Playing at a Power 5 school offers better exposure for sure, but great athletes will be great athletes wherever they’re playing and today’s NFL Scouting is skilled at identifying them regardless of whether they’re playing in obscurity at some Division III college or for a powerhouse in the SEC. Some folks still brewing because the 2022 top HS Recruit blew the Blue Blood’s minds because he decided to follow Coach Prime to an HBCU..and just like he did that; he’s going to follow his coach to Colorado. He was on film watching Coach Prime repeating his “I’m coming!” message every time Coach said it to those Colorado players! Done deal!

No one says it , so I will. I love the buffs, have since the Eddie Crowder and Bobby Anderson days! This ain’t the same culture now, not even the same culture as McCartney! Maybe Sanders can change that and get Colorado and the program back to where they should be!

Exciting times for Colorado. Gotta be real though, will he stick around if he finds success? If they become a top 10 team, you gotta think a big time team will call him. For example - Florida State, Texas, Florida and possibly Ohio St or even Alabama ( if Saban retires )

@Robert Williams That's great, and I'm glad you're that confident. But those teams aren't built overnight. USC pulled off a great season and still fell short of even making the playoffs. Hell Michigan State was great last season, and shit right after fell right off. There are loads of variables, and I'm not going to makes any guarantees before anything has happened.
