This was the weakest set I've ever seen Bill do , EVER. I'm a big fan but Conan was laughing way too hard at literally nothing trying to salvage this. I am a huge Bill Burr fan but god this was dreadful In my opinion , of course.
The part where Sona is like "well everybody laughs at people falling" and Bill starts explaining he laughed at a terrible scooter accident had me wheezing.
@overexplainer that's Sona, Conan's assistant. She is becoming a piblic figure by participating in the show and podcasts. Typically she is very funny, critical of Conan...and her laugh sounds like a James Bond villain that actually got away with something! I dig her. 👍😎👍
You can see Sona is torn at times. Bill says funny things that are terrible. Sona finds it funny but is a tiny bit ashamed for laughing at the terrible things....just great!
I love you two together! It’s, in my opinion, the most consistently funny entertainment out there. Thank you for the fantastic laughs, Bill and Conan!!!
Yea, it’s bill burr 2.0 huge different with 1.0 who couldnt grieve normal about he had to place the dog out of house... just a tiny 0,05 second swieeep and hop .. back in the jar ,, stupid emotions! And then questioning.. right ... who is gonna pay the bill for that later! Sigh 😮 😅
Hearing Bill Burr’s laughter and him holding his side is just beautiful 😂 he has us this way a multitude of times so it’s nice to see the master get his 😂
Its SOO much better seeing Conan interview and talk like a normal human. He can talk how he wants, say what he wants and no network to tell him you cant say this and that.
My friend used to do the same thing but it was his grandparents. He would sit at the table with the little boombox on his lap recording their arguments. Then bring it to school & groups of kids would gather at recess to listen. It was priceless & we still quote them 30 years later.
I was lucky enough to have a good friend just like Bill, always cracking some funny thing about nothing and he could see the funny side of anything. We went on holiday as young men once, it was bloody hard work, I was constantly being hit with jokes and funny sayings. To wake up each morning and have to start laughing again was hard work, I got abs out of it. I wish he were here today, life would be fun again.
I think a lot of us have a friend like that and would be gutted if they weren't around anymore. I'm sorry for your loss whether it is circumstantial or something more permanent.
I don't know if anyone reads these but I am in love with this studio and the laughter of either the crew just adds to it. Please keep doing the podcast in this style!
3:17 Bill letting out that bit of laughter as if he just can't stop laughing or smiling is hilarious itself, I can't tell if he's anticipating Conan to say something funny or if he's still laughing from the previous minutes in the conversation but nonetheless, it's great to see Bill this happy!
Hearing Bill Burr’s laughter and him holding his side is just beautiful 😂 he has us this way a multitude of times so it’s nice to see the master get his
Why is it that Bill has to audition for how compassionate he is to that woman? How do we know she isn't the one who's fucked up and should be more judicious and critical of other people? That she isn't babying everyone she meets? This idea that men are all defective women is irritating. Like sure, it's good for men to learn how to be a bit more empathetic, but women ought to learn to be a bit tougher too. Because compassion isn't a virtue, care is a virtue. And care is different from compassion, it's a combination of compassion, discipline, critique, judiciousness, empathy, and help.
Late to the party, but I'm so happy Conan has a podcast. He has always been a great interviewer and seems like a genuine guy. He shouldn't demean his intelligence and platform with the silly spectacle and farce that is late night now.
Hi. Jackel here, on loan from Meyer's show. The paint episode of Davey and Goliath, it wasn't a pond, it was a well. Davey wanted to paint the water. He learned his lesson. That episode is freaky seared into my brain.
You are welcome! Here is the episode of Davey and Goliath that Conan was talking about. I "pray" that someone on Conan's team shows this to him XD kzclip.net/video/3IP02c0lmK8/бейне.html 11:00 on the other link ;)
After watching so many Bill Burr interviews, it appears clearly that Bill Burr doesn’t really need to write anything down for his shows. All he needs to do is just share thoughts about random subjects with the public, and that’s all it takes to be hilarious.
Bill's brother, you are a genius. I wish I had recorded my parents' arguments and then I would let them listen 😤 Now I am over 30, my parents are older too, and those arguments were way back in my childhood but I'll never miss those moments 😑
It looks same but it is way different & better than the show. Its a podcast medium, meaning way more listeners hear it from countries where the show never aired or was on very late night time. It is freely available to everyone through official websites & podcast apps like spotify, apple, google, seriusxm etc to every open source podcast app making ir available. On the podcast there is no filter of saying curse words & no pressure of it being censored for being too gory like explaining a man's accident injuries etc. There is no hard time limit & usually 1 hour is the average guest talk time which is way longer than any show without any censoring & limiting. You get crystal clear audio because it is a podcast & you could listen to it at your own time. Casual nature & being open about everything is only able through podcast. Just look how conan swears & goes into real dark comedy in the podcast compared to the show where it is clean. I'm saying this cause we never had conan's show available in our country & through this medium there are definately millions of new conan fans growing from countries like mine
The part where Sona is like "well everybody laughs at people falling" and Bill starts explaining he laughed at a terrible scooter accident had me wheezing.
For those who don't know about the story of the guy crashing in his scooter, Bill talked about it some time ago in his podcast: kzclip.net/video/kB9BaR5YW3s/бейне.html Do yourself a favor and listen the complete story, it's f%$&ing hysterical. First time I heard it I ended up crying of laughter.
This is me with watching "Happy Tree Friends". My family thinks I'm messed up but it's hilarious, cause they're fake characters and literally are alive and fine in the next scene
Damn, I first started watching that at 7 when I discovered it at school (29 now). Mum pulled me up on it but I argued how the it was different to other forms of cartoon violence, eg looney tunes, Tom and Jerry. I haven't seen it since high school probably is it still going?
Damn, I first started watching that at 7 when I discovered it at school (29 now). Mum pulled me up on it but I argued how was it different to other forms of cartoon violence, eg looney tunes, Tom and Jerry. I haven't seen it since high school probably is it still going?
After my father died I got his Harley (long story) and smart alec me thought I could just up and ride it home because "I used to ride a bicycle as a kid". This happened to me and it was exactly how he described it. I went around a corner to fast and hit the median thing and flew over the handlebars. Luckily I was wearing a helmet so all I had was a quarter-inch scrape by my knee cap, but I'll never forget the pavement scraping pass my head a half inch away looking through the plastic visor thing. I laugh at myself about it too.
I recorded my parents arguing too. Too bad I didn't think of a soundtrack. Bolero would've been a nice touch, because they kept going in circles. I played the recording back during the argument, and my father was't all too happy about it, because it showed his logical inconsistencies and outright contradictions.
Funny Story: Billy boy is from Canton where my dads from, he actually lived a few streets over and knew Patrick his brother because he was about the same age, and my da said patrick was a hoser and he couldn’t remember that little ginger brother of his for the life of him lol
You could see Bill sort of walking the line with her too. When she was saying what you can't laugh at or arent allowed to find funny in another clip from this podcast Bill sort of just jokingly disagrees as opposed to potentially laying into her for deciding or judging what other people can find humor in.
jokes aside this dude is clearly an actual sociopath whose mind just got messed up because of his traumatic childhood that he processed and dealt with through comedy
The tape recording with the parents argument with a music sound track. That's about as good as it gets. LOL. I wish there would be a Burr/Conan presidential ticket.
That's a perfect example (The Great Santini) about how people can completely miss the greater narrative in a film or show, and instead they identify with a character and see themselves vindicated. Scary to wonder how many are acting out the worst characters from shows in which the identify with the bad guys i.e., Breaking Bad thinking its cool. "Alright Sports Fans!"
@James C I have no doubt! Ever seen Michael Douglas in Falling Down, or Charles Bronson in The Vigilante? Not the best stories to base one's life on, although an entertaining fantasy.
the essential part of the claymation thing is watching it with brothers whose sense of humor is similar and with whom anything is funny idk why but I totally get that
Wha! Totally understand Bill. When I was in high school a classmate told a story about he was at playground on the "jungle gym" and he fell from the top and he swore that his head hit every rung on the way down. Some construction workers nearby walked up to him bleeding on the ground and asked him, "Are you alright?" I laughed so hard, I thought it was hilarious. Everyone else listening was like: oh, that's so sad...which made me laugh even more.
So, out of curiosity, I looked up Davey and Goliath after hearing these two talk about it, and the first thought that came to mind was "That's Moral Oral from adult swim!" It definitely isn't the same show, but same models. If neither of them have seen it yet, they definitely should!
Dear Americans, I know you're thinking you're going through a very troubled time atm, but please be thankful for living in a nation where Burr tours regularly. What I would give to see this man live at one point.
Please, if someone has something truly stupid to comment, don't hesitate - keep it coming. I'm really enjoying this. If you don't, make something up. I won't know the difference, I don't know you. Someone already deleted their contribution, don't please! Smart replies are also welcome (and already happened), but they just don't have the same appeal
I totally get that laughing at inappropriate stuff thing. I remember seeing that first person movie Hardcore Henry at the theater. There's that escalator scene where they knock down that woman halfway down. I busted out laughing, couldn't stop lol.
Bill can make literally everything funny. The King of Irreverant. Fudgin love that dude. Kindred spirit. F all sacred cows. Everything had funny in it - just leave space for the ridiculous. My wife does NOT have that gene. Also, shouldn't there be a Two Old Curmudgeon Gingers(or whev) show...?
Mr Conan, thank you for continued release of awesome material. I do have a request that perhaps you with your contacts can find out for us all. HOW is EDWARD SNOWDEN? Since this Ukraine thing started I have a feeling he is in deep hiding, or much much worse. I just hope he is alright.
I'm curious too to know how Snowden is doing? But why ask Conan of all people? Wouldn't it be better to ask someone like Glenn Greenwald or Laura Poitras? Or John Oliver he did an interview with Snowden years ago. Has Conan done one with Snowden I have not heard about?
It's hard for some people to understand, but when things are terrifying as a kid because of your parents, like, someone screams at you out of the blue, or you get hit, your mind gets wired up in strange ways. Like, some people read that first sentence and their brain went, "what did they do to deserve it?" And they can imagine and even insert some kind of crime the kid did that deserves the screaming or deserves being hit. A person who's been through that kind of thing might mention something, like, I drank juice from the carton and my dad broke my arm. And most people can agree that's bad. And if you want to break the tension in those moments, you talk about some child crime that deserved screaming or beating, like, I broke a window. Then everyone agrees, and laughs, and the tension is gone, and no one stops and says, "no one deserved the screaming and hitting in the first place." Because that's too much to process for a lot of people. They've built up mental defenses to deal with that stuff, and one is to say, "I deserved it, people deserve it." Another defense is laughter. You see someone get hurt, and it's frightening or awful, and you want to scream or cry. But it feels horrible when it happens. You see your brother getting beaten, and you feel frightened, hearing him scream, and you feel sad, and angry, and helpless, and your body is filled with emotion and you can't do anything to stop it. So you learn to laugh, because one thing laughter does is it tells your brain, "it's okay, everything is fine, we'll live through this." If you experience enough of that as a kid, if you believe some people deserve it and the abuse was fair, you become a person who laughs when they feel fear, or shame, or anger, so many things, because it's easier than untangling all of the stuff you learned as a kid to compartmentalize that stuff. I wonder sometimes if Conan has real friends, aside from his wife. Like, watch Conan's foot sometimes when he's really anxious. It's good to have people who get you and that you love to be around. But if your friends can't let you break through the bullshit, because they themselves can't do it either, then your friends are holding you back, no matter how much money you make.
Conan's story about laughing, despite the impending death of all those animals around that paint bucket polluted pond is worse than anything Bill Burr has ever said. dang Conan. I'm no saint either...but man!
The best part of this is that Sonya doesn’t understand how dark Bill thinks. It’s like she gives him a chance for it not to be bad then it always turns on her.
Big Bill fan, but just because you question and don't understand his darkness and demons isn't really a bad thing lol He's lived a very negative life and is just now starting to live a life of happiness.
The part where Sona is like "well everybody laughs at people falling" and Bill starts explaining he laughed at a terrible scooter accident had me wheezing.
I love no quarter..i listen to that song literally everyday..but after watching this i cant help my self imagining bill's parent arguing while listening to it😂😂😂
Bill NEVER disappoints on Conan😂
@Ryan Barrows it wasn't a set, smoothbrain
Bill never disappoints period
This was the weakest set I've ever seen Bill do , EVER. I'm a big fan but Conan was laughing way too hard at literally nothing trying to salvage this. I am a huge Bill Burr fan but god this was dreadful

Hhhhhhhhhhhp,
@overexplainer that's Sona, Conan's assistant. She is becoming a piblic figure by participating in the show and podcasts.
Typically she is very funny, critical of Conan...and her laugh sounds like a James Bond villain that actually got away with something!
I dig her.
👍😎👍
who is this woman and why is she there she adds nothing
You can see Sona is torn at times. Bill says funny things that are terrible. Sona finds it funny but is a tiny bit ashamed for laughing at the terrible things....just great!
Why did I watch this thinking that is Michelle Wolf with them. 🤦♂
I love you two together! It’s, in my opinion, the most consistently funny entertainment out there. Thank you for the fantastic laughs, Bill and Conan!!!
His brother WAS a genius, evidently. "No Quarter" by Zep mixed with a parental argument? Meme-worthy stuff 5 decades ahead of its time!
He should have made copies and sold em.
No Quarter? How about Nobody's Fault But Mine?
I am so pissed at myself for not thinking of doing this when I was kid. My god, just hearing the description had me crying buckets of laughter.
Kendrick Lamar's We Cry Together
i want to listen to it. i hope those tapes exist. they're gold record material
You know what, Bill seems much happier now and i'm happy for him, this constant smile on his face is a delight
😂
@bahiya94 drugs. New perspective. Yearly acid trip is great. Or for him shrooms, maybe acid as well. I prefer the latter
He's got a daughter now, of course he is happier.
Sigh 😮
😅
His wife and his daughter have REALLY changed him. Bill even 5 years ago was a different guy completely. Very happy for him.
Ill see Bill this weekend looking forward to it, I grew up in the same era as Bill did so much of his humor is based off of our lives lol
Must've left your grammar skills in that era too.
my dad used to go mental at farm machinery when i was a kid, me and my sister would play private investigators and compiled 'the mad dad sad report'
"Someone in the house would lose their temper in a way that would frighten you, and then it was never spoken about again" I lost it
“Argument? What argument? Have some American cheese and go outside and kick a ball around.”
that one was too real for me
@famousmortimer That's definitely it. All of us who were laughing were thinking of our lunatic fathers. lol
@Martín Enemigo I think it's only funny to those of us who went through that. Not sure it's a lot people. It might be though.
@Laura M i think its because it sounds so raw and real that is actually NOT that funny EVEN THOUGH it is hilarious.
Hearing Bill Burr’s laughter and him holding his side is just beautiful 😂 he has us this way a multitude of times so it’s nice to see the master get his 😂
Thats just his hernia lol
Its SOO much better seeing Conan interview and talk like a normal human. He can talk how he wants, say what he wants and no network to tell him you cant say this and that.
I dont know. Me I loved them on Coco where they would have to toe the line and Bill always came dangerously close. 🙂
We need more Bill Burr and Conan content 🙌🏻
F'kin' - A!!
Davie goes to space is priceless “punk planet.”
Always more, I really do wish they had a show together
you forget that Conan is actually friends with Bill
Conan elevates comedy. he is like the hype man.
My friend used to do the same thing but it was his grandparents. He would sit at the table with the little boombox on his lap recording their arguments. Then bring it to school & groups of kids would gather at recess to listen. It was priceless & we still quote them 30 years later.
@akjohnny it's called "funny", ever heard of it?
@akjohnny You're an unfunny person
@akjohnny These grandparents had hilarious names for each other. It was like listening to a very R rated comedy show.
wow, people cared that much? or was it more like gossip. can't imagine people caring enough unless it's juicy
I would pay for a copy of that recording
BILL
where are you going
BILL
This is the funniest interview Ever! Oh my God Im crying of laughter...where can I find the hole show?
@Jason Storey The "Hole Show" - I see whatchoo did.
pornhub is known to have many, many episodes of the show you speak of.
Am I hallucinating or Bill really seems much happier person now?😅
He's got a daughter now, of course he is!!
Yes aging usually calms one down when they have had a "terrible" childhood .
@Jōkā Làtom Dr. Phill Burr
@Jōkā Làtom I’ve never heard one person abusing them.
Probably because of his kids.
Thanks for watching and showing love 🥰 congratulations to have been selected among the lucky few.text for more enlightenment

Late to the party, but I'm so happy Conan has a podcast. He has always been a great interviewer and seems like a genuine guy. He shouldn't demean his intelligence and platform with the silly spectacle and farce that is late night now.
@steve17bf2 one of the best !
Ever heard of Craig Ferguson? Maybe the best Late show because of how he did it. Dana DeLorenzo ;)
Hi. Jackel here, on loan from Meyer's show.
The paint episode of Davey and Goliath, it wasn't a pond, it was a well. Davey wanted to paint the water. He learned his lesson.
That episode is freaky seared into my brain.
I can’t tell if Conan’s hair line goes further up… or his face goes further down
people getting hurt is inherently funny. that's why afv is so funny

"Well...get to the funny part" Damn that was quick. :D
This podcast makes my day at work, people think I'm nuts randomly laughing. One of my co-workers seriously thought I was high.
I can imagine it would be pretty annoying for your coworkers
That is a remix I would want hear.
Sheer poetry this clip. If Conan and Bill made a show together it'd usher in a new era in comedy
Bill is definitely an angry one sided guy... he thought money would've made him happy...
After watching so many Bill Burr interviews, it appears clearly that Bill Burr doesn’t really need to write anything down for his shows. All he needs to do is just share thoughts about random subjects with the public, and that’s all it takes to be hilarious.

Bill Burr brother is an instant legend.. that is beyond hilarious, just listening to it,, haven't laughed that hard in a long time.
any time bill is on Conan show is great time, they have really good chemistry
I never laugh as hard as I do listening to Conan and Bill Burr 🤣
I remember Davey and Goliath and it was creepy.
Lmao Conan bounces from late night only to have the same setup here. Just bring Andy back and we're golden.
It looks same but it is way different & better than the show.
Its a podcast medium, meaning way more listeners hear it from countries where the show never aired or was on very late night time.

Man the story about his brother recording the arguments and putting them over music, that is top 5 hardest ive laughed in the last 5 years.
I hope I never run out of new clips with Bill and Conan
Need more of these podcasts with Bill, he always brings a different energy!
Thanks for watching and showing love 🥰 congratulations to have been selected among the lucky few.text for more enlightenment

Laughing is an instinctual form of communication letting the group know something potentially bad turned out ok. We actually did an episode on it.
That old man in the scooter and the guy who skate down Griffith park are both legendary podcast stories
*Thank you for watching. Send a direct message to the telegram number above, I will like to hear more on your thoughts* 💭

Something about Sona and Bill Burr talking together seems like a multiverse type thing to me. Never thought I'd see them two together.
You could see Bill sort of walking the line with her too. When she was saying what you can't laugh at or arent allowed to find funny in another clip from this podcast Bill sort of just jokingly disagrees as opposed to potentially laying into her for deciding or judging what other people can find humor in.

and "you should apologize for laughing at claymation animals"
The tape recording with the parents argument with a music sound track. That's about as good as it gets. LOL. I wish there would be a Burr/Conan presidential ticket.
I'd VOTE for them!! 🇺🇸
Haha
Everyone would vote for Bill, then wonder why cruise ships are randomly sinking...
Burr is truly king of Podcast comedy. I honestly think his stand up specials have fallen off but his podcast is still unfiltered Burr
This and the dogs breeding bit from previous Bill Burr episode will forever live in my memory 🤣🤣🤣
I feel like I went through a few years of therapy with this video. Thank you for being real guys.
That's a perfect example (The Great Santini) about how people can completely miss the greater narrative in a film or show, and instead they identify with a character and see themselves vindicated. @Charles Platten been seeing this a lot with American Psycho and The Sopranos.
@James C I have no doubt! Ever seen Michael Douglas in Falling Down, or Charles Bronson in The Vigilante? Not the best stories to base one's life on, although an entertaining fantasy.
There are definitely a lot of men out there who idolize walter white.
Watched "Schindler's List" once - Laughed my ass off.
OMG, Bill is a rare breed of a functioning psychopath of some sort, who still has his heart in the right place. I am LMFAO😂😂😂
Googled up Davey & Goliath because I remember it. Same producers as Gumby and same style ... but D&G was done by the Lutheran Church ...
Bill slowly becoming Santa. Old Man, Always smiling, no drugs, helping efed up people once in a while.
I remember him mentioning the argument to 'No Quarter' years ago on a podcast and being struck on how genius that was.
As always Conan knowing all the context and information to converse with Bill Burr..
Conan brings the best out of him
I wish they did a regular podcast
Davey and Goliath were one of my main sources of hysterical laughter when I was a kid
the essential part of the claymation thing is watching it with brothers whose sense of humor is similar and with whom anything is funny idk why but I totally get that
I wish Bill would uploud those tracks of his brother. That'd be pure gold. :)

@Michael Troy no thanks.. I'll watch from a distance. Lol
Just fly over here. lol
What a dumb statement
I totally get that laughing at inappropriate stuff thing. I remember seeing that first person movie Hardcore Henry at the theater. There's that escalator scene where they knock down that woman halfway down. I busted out laughing, couldn't stop lol.
Bill can make literally everything funny. The King of Irreverant. Fudgin love that dude. Kindred spirit. F all sacred cows. Everything had funny in it - just leave space for the ridiculous. My wife does NOT have that gene.
Also, shouldn't there be a Two Old Curmudgeon Gingers(or whev) show...?
I'd buy Bill Burr's brother's mixtape in a heartbeat if he still has them.
Please upload full episodes to youtube! Not sure if i am the only one that enjoys seeing their body language while talking.
I was looking for a way to start waking up with positivity and a smile. 😁 I'll watch Bill every morning from now on 🤣😭😃
Couldn't help notice Conan's face looks like Bill's upside down.
I can't unsee it 🤣🤣🤣
LMFAO
Yin and yang
Same Bills looks like an upside down conan
Lmfao!!
PLEASE BAHAHAH
Mr Conan, thank you for continued release of awesome material.
I do have a request that perhaps you with your contacts can find out for us all.
HOW is EDWARD SNOWDEN?
Since this Ukraine thing started I have a feeling he is in deep hiding, or much much worse. I just hope he is alright.
@Hyusuf Do you know how to read? My comment explains itself.
I'm so happy they're back.... We need more
It's hard for some people to understand, but when things are terrifying as a kid because of your parents, like, someone screams at you out of the blue, or you get hit, your mind gets wired up in strange ways. They've built up mental defenses to deal with that stuff, and one is to say, "I deserved it, people deserve it."
Another defense is laughter.
Yeah Bill Burr has said that all comedians have trauma basically
That’s why they are funny
Conan's story about laughing, despite the impending death of all those animals around that paint bucket polluted pond is worse than anything Bill Burr has ever said. dang Conan. I'm no saint either...but man!
His brother was a genius ahead of his time lol
Bill & Conan are great together.
The best part of this is that Sonya doesn’t understand how dark Bill thinks. It’s like she gives him a chance for it not to be bad then it always turns on her.
yeah she's annoying and totally not necessary
Big Bill fan, but just because you question and don't understand his darkness and demons isn't really a bad thing lol
He's lived a very negative life and is just now starting to live a life of happiness.
Sona's fake laughter and repeated ass kissing is the only reason she's there, She adds nothing when celebs come
Sona's awful lol
Ahh some Conan and BB content. Hit me straight into my veins my lovely dealer
The part where Sona is like "well everybody laughs at people falling" and Bill starts explaining he laughed at a terrible scooter accident had me wheezing.
So you just gonna steal the top comment word for word I see 👏👏👏
These two guys are brilliant together
I think Bill Burr is actually funnier when he is just hanging out.
Honestly, Bill probably needs some intense therapy for the rest of his life. But his laugh is funny.
"... (a dad) who loves his family but doesn't understand that he's slowly killing everybody."
That's my dad right there.
I love Conan's laugh!
Bill Burr and Conan go great together
Sona's laughter is so adorable...
I love no quarter..i listen to that song literally everyday..but after watching this i cant help my self imagining bill's parent arguing while listening to it😂😂😂
I swear to god my father used to put that show on the tv on Saturday mornings and it gave me endless nightmares. It was a fever dream of a show.
How could people not watch all three of the Bill Burr segments, hilarious
