I used to volunteer at a vet clinic and we had a lot of lint because of fur and other stuff after one load of laundry. Nothin compared to the lifetime of lint. College dryers (where no one cleans the lint except for a few select people) aren’t even that bad.

Dryer filters need to be cleaned *every* use. It prevents a potential "clog" in the ventilation which can cause a fire. HVAC filters need to be changed monthly also. Failure to keep these systems clean are the source of many house fires every year. My father (a firefighter) saw many families along with their pets displaced every year because of this. I feel like things a renter/home owner need to be aware of and do should be required to be posted for dumb people.
