Great advice. If you really want the new super duty, order the one you don't really want just so you can get it sooner. If I'm paying new truck money, it's going to be exactly what I want.
Finally got my Bronco after two years. Originally wanted a Badlands but when I reordered in October 21 I went with the Black Diamond with fewer options but at least I go the hardtop and a tow package. We did the Off Roadeo in MOAB in October, that was a great experience. I ordered a F150 a year ago this month and it still has not shown up. I started with the Lariat package but after I added some options I realized I was paying almost as much as the Platinum trim so I went with that. I got the window sticker back in August with a blend (build date) of early August. I guess that truck is sitting in some lot waiting for the last few parts. They had already deleted a number of my options. I will probably pass on it. How can they still call it a 2022. Dealer told me the same thing last year, now the time to get my order in. No big deal, I'm having fun with the Bronco.
As always an informative video from Mitchell, however considering what Ford will charge for these trucks, customers should be able to order them in the configuration they want and not what’s easiest for Ford to build, the advantage of a Job 2 truck is that (hopefully) any production issues with the job 1’s should be resolved before they start job 2 production, reducing recalls, which going on Ford’s recent efforts, might be the way to go, plus I would like to see what sort of numbers the trucks are putting out for payload, towing and engine etc before placing an order, as annoying as it is to have to wait a long time for a new truck, I would rather get something I really want than to settle for what they can produce quickly
Great looking truck and a great video. There is quite a bit of hype around the 40K gooseneck tow capacity which I find somewhat irrelevant since you have to give up quite a bit to reduce weight and meet that capacity. Sure it is awesome, however, three of the options you are giving up are the spare tire which is essential for traveling long distances, it has to be a 4x2, and also a regular cab. Basically, this capacity can only be met in the XL package since all the others are standard 4x4, and I don't see very many investing in an F450 that is only two-wheel drive and a regular cab. unless they opt. for a cab chassis configuration with a short flatbed. In my opinion, don't focus on the 40K lbs. when purchasing a truck as the standard 32,500 lbs. towing capacity in the F450 Crew Cab 4x4 configuration in 2019 has only increased to 32,600 lbs capacity for 2020 thru 2023 which is sufficient for most. The 6.7 and 6.7 HP option does not change this capacity. And towing large loads with a shorter wheelbase is not as comfortable as having a longer wheelbase, especially during long distances. Sure it is a great claim but probably won't sell very many of the required packages. I have a 2020 F450 4x4 Superduty XLT Crew Cab, 8' Box with the 6.7l and a CGVW of 43,500 lbs. I haul a 5th-wheel trailer, also gooseneck cattle trailer, and a very large flatbed hay trailer. Fully loaded and have not come within a ton of the CGVW, Payload, or Tow capacity. As mentioned in the video, I would opt for the popular crew cab 4x4 6 and 3/4 box or bump up to the 8'box for extra clearance if you do a lot of hauling.
I don't mind 4wd being standard, the twin traction beam front on the 2wd models was never the greatest front end to have. Mainly the whole reason I got 4wd trucks even though I really don't need it for my needs. I would prefer they elaborate on the F150 front suspension design and incorporate that into superdutys. The offroad guys might bitch about it but it would make it a so much better driving truck on the pavement towing.
So I guess I’ll be ordering a XLT sport appearance package and the Ultimate package, with a 7.3L and 4:30 gears. It sounds like the perfect truck. Everything i want and nothing I don’t. 👌
I purchased a brand new 2020 F250 with the 7.3 L gas. It's a beautiful truck, the engine is strong and it was much less money than a new diesel. BUT, I would never buy it again. I get 7.9 mpg around town, not towing. And 6.2 mpg towing 6200 lbs. And the 10-speed transmission has had nothing but problems/ malfunctions ever since it was new. I don't mean to be negative, but this is a real world review
Hi Mitchell Thank you so much for this video. I got a hold of the order sheet last night and read through all of the 30 something pages…my wife thinks I’m crazy, but I digress. Here’s my question, the pro trailer hitch assist is listed as J2 feature on page #2. This is part of the tow technology package 52T which is then part of the Lariat ultimate package 96U. So if you get the Lariat ultimate package, will your vehicle get pushed to J2 because it has a feature in the tow technology package that is listed as J2. I asked my local Ford dealer who responded “I don’t know”
@Town and Country TV Can you get a "black appearance package" on a Platnium model??...I noticed on another video that the lariat has a black out grill that looks just like the platinum grill....
I love everything about these new trucks, but was already at my ceiling when I bought my 2020 6.7. Glad I'm not in the market now. Same for same, a similar new XLT is now nearly $80k vs my sticker at $65k (which I got for $58k). Those times seem to be gone. Have fun folks. I used to upgrade on a fairly regular basis, but I'm already calling this my last truck purchase.
Super well done - wish I was closer to your dealer. Sadly it looks like it'll be along time before my truck arrives - I'm basically ordering every single item you said will take forever. Heading to local dealer tomorrow. Thanks for producing this.
Do you think there will be different delays based on F-250s vs F350s with similar options? And do you think cab configurations will make a difference? I was leaning towards a F350 with the medium cab and long bed, possibly the Lariat with 7.3 gas. But i wouldnt mind the big cab and short bed
Appreciate the work you do for these videos. Would love to have that document as there's just so much on these things I do NOT even want, MUCH LESS want to pay for. If living in the DFW (Texas) what's the charge to buy from you? Would love to pay you for essentially the work you've done vs someone else assuming price point is competitive.
I'd like to start by saying even though I don't live in Alabama, I wish there was someone like you here to be so honest and helpful. Considering still reaching out to you instead of the Ford dealers here. You made me GENUINELY more excited for the 2023, but now as we get deeper into customization, I'm just entirely bummed out by this truck again. It's a love hate relationship, really. I've been looking at the 2022 seeing what packages I want, and I was hoping that they transferred the availability over to the 2023 year. 2023 is the model I'll have to order (I'm much displeased by it as you'll be able to tell), and it's got to be a DRW, 4.10 limited slip, Diesel engine, and it's got to look nice to drive as my sole transport outside of heavy work. Ford just doesn't seem interested in selling their DRWs. I'm interested in a sport package, but I'll need the power and the capability of a DRW to move cattle. They're just putting too many requirements to their packages, even if it's due to availability. I don't want to have to aftermarket my truck because I'm unhappy with all the blazing chrome when I'd rather prefer a more "sport" style (I'd already be spending enough money as it is!). Last year's 2022 XLT F350 was capable of 35,000 pounds gooseneck towing in either 4x2 or 4x4, so long as it came with DRWs, a 4.10 limited slip axle ratio, and a 6.7L v8 Turbo. You could get basically everything on a Lariat, except LED headlights, put on an XLT. Now, you go to their website, (which isn't the best since the 2023 is still early development) but you don't see the Premium XLT package, you don't get some of the quality like a moon roof, and they deleted Sync3 with voice navigation out of the XLT. Yes, you can get Sync4 optional on the XL and XLT, but only for an 8" screen that doesn't include voice activated navigation, which I'd have to get a Lariat for. Really, my slogan since I've seen the 2023 has been "I like the box, slap a 2022 cab in front". Maybe it's just because I haven't spoken to a dealer as the ones around here try selling you things you don't need, but if I really had someone to talk with about all this we'd find a solution.
I was eagerly awaiting the orders to open up, but now that I've seen the options and the delays, I think I'll just stick with my 2019 F450. Great video and thanks for your time.
Ain't even in the market for a F250 and by the time you said you'll sell at MSRP you won me over. Nothing but the best for the honest folks at your business and anyone that doesn't adhere to the insane markups that dealerships are dropping into already expensive vehicles.
You’re happy to pay MSRP? Just be patient and do your research because you can still get below MSRP. There are dealers giving anywhere between 2000-5000 below MSRP if ordered through them.
Awesome video. Question about the Lariat, when you do the sport appearance it seems to take off the power steps. And why can we get brown leather anymore in the lariat. Miss that
All I have to say is hoping by 2025 things get back to normal on vehicles. I usually traded every 3 or 4 years and was ready to ditch the 2018 F150 Platinum for the 2023 F350. I was about to hit retirement and wanted to upgrade to pull a 5th wheel. Looks like I will be keeping my current truck for 7 or 8 years as I am not "upgrading" to take less features such as the missing contour seats, heated steering, etc. RV dealers are going to start going hungry because nobody can get a truck if they want a larger RV.
@Finley Peter Dunne wish the used truck market wasn't really really whack. also wish emissions was out of the question. i'm somewhat satisfied with my 2018 F250 platinum and extremely satisfied with my 2005 F250 Harley Davidson edition. both with diesels. i don't run gassers ever. thing i hate most is no grease zerk fittings underneath anything past 2017. not even on the driveshaft/ujoints unless you get a commercial truck (cab n chassis) or get the F450 pickup. real disappointing i blame the inability to grease and lubricate as needed on my 2018 to why it got death wobble at 60k miles. funny enough though real close inspection none of the bushings are out of spec maybe just a blown steering damper? trucks towed only a few times i tow almost exclusively with my 2005 it tows better thanks to aftermarket and love the sounds it makes biggest gripe on new diesel trucks in particular you can't hear the engine. they're way too quiet.
@Finley Peter Dunne Ouch! I ordered my '22 F350 late December and it came in early May. I had to drop the spray in bed liner and the 5th wheel prep. Had Zeibart spray in bed liner done after it came and purchased the 5th wheel prep kit from a dealership in Ohio and had it locally installed. If I can get another PCO, I'm ordering a 2023.
@Anonymous I'm having the 5th wheel / gooseneck prep package done aftermarket as well as the LineX, tonneau cover and AMP running boards. I'm told that it was a lack or micro chips that held up my truck and 45,000 others.
Great video, much appreciated. Ford's configurator on the website needs work (as always). Lariat doesn't show half of options it should be, lol... including Crew Cab!
6.2 was super duty first, then f150 as the top engine (remember the 150 and SD shared an engine, i miss those days). Raptor launched to disappointing sales with the 5.4 initially, 6.2 came the next model year and sales increased from some viral KZclip videos and ford dealer ride and drive events across the country.
Ford steps on their bag again! You need that converting console to a desktop for the Super Duties too! and while you're at it make Blue Cruise available for the Super Duties.
wish the max recline seats was a thing years ago. my 2018 F250 platinum i occasionally sleep out of it. but since the seats don't recline all the way back i endup using a bedroll or similar in the backseat with the seats folded up plenty of room. 2017-2019 i'm not sure if there are any diffrences. and most people see the platinum as highest trim anyways. when you say limited to someone they typically assume its just above a Lariat or something. i don't really dig the new body style though. might just get a hold of the max recline seats and throw them in my 2018.
My dad just ordered a f350 long bed lariat his first new truck since his 2005 f350 he still has. It will definitely be an upgrade. As for me I’m sticking with my 2005 f350 diesel I can’t justify the payment or the unreliability of the diesel emissions
Great video do I understand correctly that the 5th wheel prep package will slow the order down possibly. Should I take it off ? I do want the truck asap lol
The receiver sizes changed several years ago, didn't they? Was my '22 F350 supposed to come with a 3" receiver because it certainly didn't (my XLT did come with a King Ranch vinyl floor though, haha).
Just ordered my 450 Lariat with H.O 6.7 , Ultimate package and a few other small options today. From what I understand, today was the last day for pre-order before they close the ordering window. Great video btw...
I don’t understand how they can come out with a new superduty when there’s so many sitting in lots with no chips….but yet built some of these new ones with chips that should’ve been allocated to other peoples trucks that have been sitting in the speedway forever…
I'm guessing that they got around that. I figured at some point that they would. And when the chips finally get installed. They get them taken care of asap. Makes sense to me. And yet it could be something totally different. I'm not concerned. They had to come up with something.
Great review. Plus very good to know you sell at MSRP. I have been looking at Real deal Neal videos in Georgia at Akins Ford. Have not spoke to them yet. I like the customizations they do. I would order a 2023 super duty Tremor in platinum trim with the 6.7 H.O. diesel. I would have to sell my vehicle first before I order a new super duty. Dealerships do not pay enough. My new super duty is up on 40 inch tires.
I drive a Platinum 350 SRW and have a snowplow to push for the state. The max recline seat is gonna be heaven when I'm out on duty for 36 hours straight!!
I'm waiting until they release the full spec sheet of towing capacities and payload capacities before i buy. I want to see the difference between the 6.8L and 7.3L and the f250 and the f350.
Ford really took a giant step backwards on some design features in this redesign: • The box step and bumper side step are features that maybe 1% of folks will use but makes the truck look ugly. You are not going to lift anything heavy so those steps are pretty much worrhless!! Make it an option and clean up the look in 2024! • The digital instruments probably offer more display screens but come on Ford, stop with the clown like speedo & tach with bar graphs with numbers in the center of the round dials!!! Take a look at what Porsche does in their 911 cars and just copy it if it is beyond your designer's capability!!! • Keep the front end design uniform and stop making 1000 variations! No wonder you can't keep costs down and these truck will top $100K for a Lariet in 2029!!! We all know costs are out of control at Ford as you have already started massive layoffs!!! Having 1000 variations on the front end design doesn't make you look stylish but rather, it make you look like you don't know what you are doing and have no confidence in your designs!!!
@Ghostmofo I know it seems crazy but that’s the price they were in 19/20 ish I don’t remember exactly the month but it was just months before the inflation explosion happened
@LWRC yep you nailed it, I've been saving to pay cash for a SD, I figuerd in about 17months all these issues would pretty much have calmed down with Ford, but in the mean time I've been buying more cattle🐂 with some of the money I were initially saving up for the SD, just incase they dont..👍🏾
@Javier Rivera Ford is having big problems right now and I'm not sure it is a good idea to buy anything from them. • They've lost millions in bloated costs and have or will be laying off thousands of workers. • Over 40,000 2022 Super Duty trucks are stored at the Kentucky Motorspeedway because of parts shortages. They won't finish delivering these 2022 trucks until 1 Qtr 2023!!! • They can say 2nd job begins in Match 2023 and you can add one year to the date they give you on when your truck begins assembly!
After reading the 32 pages of the order guide myself, other than supply issues is there any reason why Ford killed the adaptive steering option for the 23’s?
@Town and Country TV Thanks Mitchell, I figured vendor problems would probably be the cause, how is Ford handling the 40K+ 22's that are still at the Kentucky speedway? with 23's on the way how is that going to affect dealer stock and prices as they enter the supply chain
I attempted to order a 2023 yesterday at Stokes Hodge Ford in Graniteville SC. I was immediately presented a $10,000 markup so I walked out. Interest rates are going up fast so be careful where you order. FInance rates will likely be close to 8-10% by the spring of next year. That will add a couple hundred dollars or more to your payment. Also, your trade in will no longer be appreciating but depreciating. Once again, be careful with your expectations.
I always walk out too when they mark up the price. It's complete BS and the government does nothing about. I know Ram and Chevy also mark up but Ford is the worst
That side step completely ruined the look of the beautiful bed!! I would put the 2021 bed on it and just swap the new tailgate and new tail lights over to the older bed!
I know this isn't a part of the video but what's happening to all the other super duty trucks that still don't have chips where can we access them or are they even attainable when they get the chips?
@Rich ALL Polyurea products are porous ALTHOUGH you can get the carbon nano-ball infused version that is high heat resistant and LESS porous. I would suggest Line-X Platinum version which has the highest abrasion resistance and toughness and is UV resistant and has the best waterproofing of the Line-X grades. It also depends upon the THICKNESS of the coating! We always use 1/4 inches (6.25 mm) because Line-X DOES WEAR over time, especially with typical 1800-to-2200 PSI powerwashing and you want enough left over that you can do brush-up coats in a few years to ensure maximum protection. There is some research being done on adding aluminum oxide ceramic nanoballs infused into UV proof synthetic polymer resins as an overcoat at 1/16 of an inch thickness to give a final rock-hard and absolute oil-and-waterproof plus UV-proof finish on top of the Line-X. It makes the final outer coat shinier and can be ANY colour! We are just experimenting on a few trucks with that last 1/16 inch Aluminum-Oxide Ceramic Nanoball overcoat layer on normal 1/4 inch Line-X Platinum to see what the added protection is! The Line-X platinum at 1/4 inch works wonders for rust and corrosion protection and our company simply sprays EVERYTHING, even the outside-painted metal and inside metal with it. Even in-cab and in the engines bays and all parts of the ladder frames, major shafts, transfer case and drive components, wheels wells, bumpers and bush guards, the bed, roof, hoods, EVERYTHING! Our longest-service F450 Superduty truck is now way over ONE MILLION MILES on it and it looks great inside and out because of that Line-X coating and all the judicious/timely maintanence and fluid changes! Our employees keep buying our fully depreciated F150/F350/F450 surplus trucks for $1000 since they are so well maintained and so well protected with Line-X! Even with 500,000 to 750,000 miles on them! (We clean, rebuild and re-line the diesel engines multiple times to ensure longevity!) They literally look like new inside and out due to all that every-3-months maintenance and fluid changes and the daily washings! We have saved MILLIONS of dollars in purchasing costs by doing rigourous in-house upgrades, maintenance and repairs of the 200+ F150, F350 4x4's and F450 Dually trucks we have in our fleet. Every employee has eagerly put first dibs whenever we get rid of the oldest trucks because they KNOW they can can another 250,000 miles out of them! Where else can they buy a used but very very well-kept F150/F350/F450 truck for $1000 CDN? The other thing that Line-X does so well is keep the interior well-insulated against our cold Western Canadian winters and they are ultra quiet in-cabin since we even coat the inside floors with it at the full one quarter inches thick, and for the last few years many King Ranch editions have been bought by our company at the full-size and Superduty levels due to the more luxurious interior comforts offered to our employees yet STILL keeping the workhorse nature of the trucks when sprayed entirely in Line-X. The employees appreciate and are very happy with the nice lay-flat thick sheepskin encased leather seats and that fancy in-cabin sound system on the King Ranches WHILE STILL GETTING great working efficiency out of those Ford trucks! If you can afford it and can emotionally be comfortable with the weird outside colour and surface texture when sprayed on the entire body, the Line-X'ing of an entire truck inside and out PLUS judicious maintenance will get you up to a million miles out of it! Since our oldest trucks are from 2001 and STILL look and work great, we KNOW this works! V
So are the over 53k super duty trucks needing chips in Kentucky going to be sold as used? If so when? How can Ford release 2023s prior to the 2022s get fully built?
@Sher's Garage Banks will not be able to give a new car loan rate on a 2022 when 2023s are available. According to what my friend gave for his 22 Lariat, prices have already reached ridiculous new highs.
I work at a Ford supplier where we supply components for the Super Duty. Ford will be assembling and shipping 2022 SD’s from Louisville until the middle of Jan due to the parts shortages. 2023 models will not even start production until Feb since it is a platform change. Don’t hold your breath.
I have several questions. Plan to order the F250 Crew Cab SRW 6.75' box, 6.7L Powerstroke with the Lariat Ultimate Package, Sport Appearance Package, High Capacity Axle Upgrade Package, and FX4 Package. If I get the Lariat Ultimate Package AND the Sport Appearance Package, do I get the power running boards or the black platform running boards. Also, does the Lariat Ultimate Package mean I'm waiting for Job 2 and should have my dealer assign a Priority Code 99 to my order? Lastly, if my trailer weighs roughly 10,000lbs, is there any reason to wait for the 3.55 axle ratio over the 3.31?
So I keep getting conflicting info on the contour seats - there is a ‘22 that just showed up with them after being told they were not going to have it….
I hate that some options require whole packages or certain trim levels. I'd be happy with crank windows and mostly basic if I could get the adaptive cruise and ac seats. Adaptive cruise is one of those things that doesn't really matter until you have had it, but once you use it on a long drive you'll miss it when it's gone. The system in our van let's you set it and it keeps the distance you select from the car in front of you. It works all the way to 0mph and will accelerate to whatever speed is set. It's great in heavy traffic that's constantly slowing down and speeding up.
Some manufacturers agree! Our Hyundai Tucson (not a truck wife's car) has standard features that convinced us to make the purchase . once you have lane assist and adaptive cruise control it's challenging to drive without it. These will be as standard as airbags before you know it!
Yeah but the question is is would you be willing to pay more to have crank windows? Yes more! due to production and efficiencies it costs more to put crank windows on a truck than it does power windows
@skoffco it will work out lot better. No companies, large or small, intentionally try to hurt their customer bases. Ford will do their utmost best. Supply side is improving. If you want to blame, blame the American work ethics and culture. If this was a Korean Company in Korea, they will work 24 hours a day to speed up the assembly line. What percentage of white do you see working lots O/T and weekends compare to many Asians. I put my order in for 2023 F450 Limited on Oct 28th and got the email confirmation from Ford on 30th. I am shooting to get it around April 2023.
I had seen a video on KZclip for the that “Outdoors with the Morgan’s” had done about a month ago showing all the trucks at KMS. I had ordered a 2021 F150 at the beginning of this madness, but told the dealer to just forget it. I like not having a truck payment a lot better anyway. If I had to pick a new truck right now it would be a 2014 F150 CC 5.0 4x4. Those are great trucks.
@Diesel Dan that is great information. Thanks. Doesn’t make me feel warm and fuzzy on my 2022 king ranch I’m still waiting for that was built a month ago.
I work for a supplier that makes components for Superduty’s. Here is the skinny: In order to not idle the assembly line, Ford is assembling trucks that are missing what is considered minor components or add ons such as a Ford Badge or a spray in bed liner. The trucks roll of the line and skip quality control sampling. They are then stored out of doors until the parts arrive. When the parts arrive, outside contract temp workers are then used to put on the parts to avoid union labor. Once completed and the trucks are marked for shipment. Once again, quality control sampling is avoided. Get the picture? Ford will be assembling and shipping 2022’s until mid January of 2023. So if you have an order for a 2022 you could still get it by Jan or later depending on method of shipment. When you get it I would function check every feature and component before you accept. Warranty work is completed at the convenience of the dealer, not your convenience.
Probably not. My super duty was built mid September and there is no delivery date in sight! So I’m figuring mine is buried somewhere in that speedway as well .. very frustrating to say the least. This is the first time in my life that I have custom ordered a vehicle and I will never do it again. In fact a friend of mine works for AT&T in Louisville and he says that there are super duty stored all over that town including the airport.
@Chris Johnston I had a 2022 order that the dealer converted to a 2023. It's a rural dealer and I will admit that they have been great to work with so far. I think that they understand how to attract and keep customers long term.
My fairly new truck was totaled and I need to order something. I went to two different Ford dealerships and they have very limited knowledge on the 2023 ordering. What do I do in this case ? Should Ford Dealerships see a inventory of new 2023 F-Series trucks coming in as lot inventory?
Hell, they can’t even deliver my 2022 F450 King Ranch that was ordered in March. For those of you ordering a 2023 Super Duty you can expect to get it the spring of 2024 if you are lucky! Then factor in more of the technology items on the truck and the fact that micro chips are virtually impossible to get.
@Tommy Craft Wrong, we have plenty of skilled people that can make these chips. Corporations just wanted the cheap labor. I'm all for capitalism and maximizing profits of the company, but there's certain things that need to be made here. This should have never happened in the first place.
@Ictpilot Ictpilot it isn’t that simple. We don’t have the cheap labor workforce that is skilled in making chips nor willing to work cheap enough to keep them affordable. Making chips here is hugely important, but it will take at least 5-10 years to get there, minimum.
Maybe this will finally wake people up in government and corporations. Things like chips need to be made here in the states! But then again I'm not holding my breath.
Seems like ford is front loading a lot of extras to raise prices. Frankly for the cost a small home we should be able to build what we want. Hell it's not like we're getting anything anytime soon. I was happy with my Lariat ultimate aside from not having darkening mirrors. Have zero care about auto stopping, trailer help...all the other gizmos. Hopefully they at least give led headlights standard. I mean Christ you're talking about 50k+ single cab work truck now. Video was awesome BTW. It is such a pain to order or build a truck. Just wish it was all ala carte.
Just wanted to share that I drove my bronco to off roadeo Texas and just got through awesome experience thanks again he told me to be sure and tell y’all to tell everyone to come!!!
I know it shouldn’t bother me as much but I walked out of a dealer intending to buy a f150 because somehow carplay looks even worse in person. Buddies Kia for 15 grand cheaper can be either split or full screen. It’s the only negative I see with this truck as well.
@Town and Country TV I love you. You can't carry my babies but I want to talk business. Is it going to apply to all of them or do I need to wait on a particular model year
I already ordered my Truck… It’s actually pretty Limited right, because you can’t get an XT with a 7.3… You have to get the XTS which is an Extra $9K… I got the 7.3, but your options are pretty limited.
Hi, looking at a f-250 lariat. Do you have the towing information on the 6.8 with a 3:73, 4:30. On the 7.3 with the same rear axles. What package do you need to order to get the on board scales. Can I still order one for build one. I live in Georgia and I am not far from your dealership. Thank you for the video.
I’m wanting to go back to a SRW F350 and still have the payload to handle my 5th wheel, but they are pricing these trucks to where only someone who owns a business that can write it off can afford it.
If you’re really selling at MSRP, and can find me an F-150 Lariat w/ the high Tremor package or King Ranch, Platinum with the 5.0L, I’ll drive from Louisiana to buy it from you. Tired of the dealers adding a 5% or more “vehicle shortage fee” to trucks. Seems like price gouging to me. Regardless it will come back to bite them in the long run.
Great advice. If you really want the new super duty, order the one you don't really want just so you can get it sooner. If I'm paying new truck money, it's going to be exactly what I want.
100%
Great video…only thing it didn’t tell was how to convince my wife to let me trade my 2020 super duty for a 2023 😂
These videos are incredible. With that being said I have no intention of buying a new truck. I'm happy with my paid off 2011 f150 5.0 4x4.
LET'S TALK ⤴️⤴️
THANKS FOR WATCHING.
Thanks for watching and leaving a comment ☝️ ☝️ I have a package for you ❤️ 🎁 🎁
As always an informative video from Mitchell, however considering what Ford will charge for these trucks, customers should be able to order them in the configuration they want and not what’s easiest for Ford to build, the advantage of a Job 2 truck is that (hopefully) any production issues with the job 1’s should be resolved before they start job 2 production, reducing recalls, which going on Ford’s recent efforts, might be the way to go, plus I would like to see what sort of numbers the trucks are putting out for payload, towing and engine etc before placing an order, as annoying as it is to have to wait a long time for a new truck, I would rather get something I really want than to settle for what they can produce quickly

THANKS FOR WATCHING.
✍️✍️✍️
Thanks Mitchell. Strong work… I’ll be seeing you guys when specs are published💪🏼🇺🇸
So I guess I’ll be ordering a XLT sport appearance package and the Ultimate package, with a 7.3L and 4:30 gears. It sounds like the perfect truck. Everything i want and nothing I don’t. 👌
I was looking at a 2021 Tremor with the 7.3 gas. Glad I couldn’t find it with those MPG numbers.
@jeffrey rogers I appreciate the insight.
Hi Mitchell
Thank you so much for this video.
I asked my local Ford dealer who responded “I don’t know”
@John Gorbach I'll send it to you in a private message
Sean - can you point me to the forum page? Just looked and can’t find it
Where did you find the 30 page build sheet?!?
Where did you find the 30 page build sheet?
@Town and Country TV Can you get a "black appearance package" on a Platnium model??...I noticed on another video that the lariat has a black out grill that looks just like the platinum grill....
I love everything about these new trucks, but was already at my ceiling when I bought my 2020 6.7. Glad I'm not in the market now. Same for same, a similar new XLT is now nearly $80k vs my sticker at $65k (which I got for $58k). Those times seem to be gone. Have fun folks. I used to upgrade on a fairly regular basis, but I'm already calling this my last truck purchase.
Thanks for watching and showing love. Congratulations 🎊🎁 you have been selected for a prize!! Send me a direct msg above to acknowledge your prize
Super well done - wish I was closer to your dealer. Sadly it looks like it'll be along time before my truck arrives - I'm basically ordering every single item you said will take forever. Heading to local dealer tomorrow. Thanks for producing this.
Thanks for watching and leaving a comment ☝️ ☝️ I have a package for you ❤️ 🎁 🎁
Do you think there will be different delays based on F-250s vs F350s with similar options? And do you think cab configurations will make a difference? I was leaning towards a F350 with the medium cab and long bed, possibly the Lariat with 7.3 gas. But i wouldnt mind the big cab and short bed
LET'S TALK ⤴️⤴️
THANKS FOR WATCHING.
✍️✍️✍️
I was eagerly awaiting the orders to open up, but now that I've seen the options and the delays, I think I'll just stick with my 2019 F450.
Great video and thanks for your time.

Great video! Will the ultimate lariats with the technology package be moved into Job 2?
Great work as always. You guys might be worth the drive up from Jacksonville. Hopefully they bring the blue back though.
✍️✍️✍️
Ain't even in the market for a F250 and by the time you said you'll sell at MSRP you won me over. Nothing but the best for the honest folks at your business and anyone that doesn't adhere to the insane markups that dealerships are dropping into already expensive vehicles.
@Jewels Winfield I've seen trucks going 9k bellow sticker for sure, but MSRP is as high as I'll.
You’re happy to pay MSRP? Just be patient and do your research because you can still get below MSRP. There are dealers giving anywhere between 2000-5000 below MSRP if ordered through them.
Do you price protect for the price at the time of ordering?
Yes price protection because you still need to go through a dealership.
✍️✍️✍️✍️

@LWRC Agreed. If you order a 2023 you'll be lucky to get it in 2023
@Anonymous I'm having the 5th wheel / gooseneck prep package done aftermarket as well as the LineX, tonneau cover and AMP running boards. I'm told that it was a lack or micro chips that held up my truck and 45,000 others.
@LWRC I'm with you.
Great video, much appreciated. Ford's configurator on the website needs work (as always). Lariat doesn't show half of options it should be, lol... including Crew Cab!
✍️✍️✍️
6.2 was super duty first, then f150 as the top engine (remember the 150 and SD shared an engine, i miss those days).
Raptor launched to disappointing sales with the 5.4 initially, 6.2 came the next model year and sales increased from some viral KZclip videos and ford dealer ride and drive events across the country.
@Duramax Adventures so? You said superduty had the 6.2 before the raptor when it clearly didn't
@Drew I mean but you can have a February 2010 built super duty with a 6.2 so even though it says 2011 on the side it's not really 2011
You can't get a 2010 Super duty with a 6.2. You can get a 2010 raptor with a 6.2
Wow this is all wrong lol..

Thanks for watching and leaving a comment ☝️ ☝️ I have a package for you ❤️ 🎁 🎁
My dad just ordered a f350 long bed lariat his first new truck since his 2005 f350 he still has. It will definitely be an upgrade. As for me I’m sticking with my 2005 f350 diesel I can’t justify the payment or the unreliability of the diesel emissions
✍️✍️✍️
Has anyone on earlier model years removed the snowplow front chin spoiler and see if that affected the MPG ?
✍️✍️✍️
Great video do I understand correctly that the 5th wheel prep package will slow the order down possibly. Should I take it off ? I do want the truck asap lol

THANKS FOR WATCHING.
Love to have the Supper Duty, but I'd have to sell my house to get one.
Great information, quick and lots of it, good job!!
✍️✍️✍️✍️
I don’t understand how they can come out with a new superduty when there’s so many sitting in lots with no chips….but yet built some of these new ones with chips that should’ve been allocated to other peoples trucks that have been sitting in the speedway forever…
I'm guessing that they got around that. I figured at some point that they would. And when the chips finally get installed. They get them taken care of asap. Makes sense to me. And yet it could be something totally different. I'm not concerned. They had to come up with something.
They will get it all out in next 90 days.
Apple Ford in Apple Valley MN was doing invoice on 22 orders. Not sure about 23 though. Get with Joe Murphy

Been waiting for this video for a long time. GREAT JOB Sir!
The problem with the F450 wasn't its towing capacity. 40k lbs is fine, but the cargo capacity is less than the F350.

Ford really took a giant step backwards on some design features in this redesign:
• The box step and bumper side step are features that maybe 1% of folks will use but makes the truck look ugly.

These prices have gone completely insane!! Up 20k for a platinum lol
@Ghostmofo yes, we definitely do. (From Northern California)
@JMart530🦂 So you are saying we need a new president. I totally agree. You’re my new best friend.
@Ghostmofo I know it seems crazy but that’s the price they were in 19/20 ish I don’t remember exactly the month but it was just months before the inflation explosion happened
@JMart530🦂 Tremors for 77k?
Tell everyone else what other dreams you had.
@Ghostmofo definitely not wrong. I built one during COVID and it was 74k for a power stroke and 77 for a tremor platinum
My dilemma is, should I order it now, or should I wait for the Pro Hitch assistant and the onboard scale feature? 🤔
@LWRC yep you nailed it,
I've been saving to pay cash for a SD, I figuerd in about 17months all these issues would pretty much have calmed down with Ford, but in the mean time I've been buying more cattle🐂 with some of the money I were initially saving up for the SD, just incase they dont..👍🏾
@LWRC I appreciate your feedback. Would be easier if ford say when 2nd job start and when delivery is expected
@Javier Rivera Well, if you can't wait - I gave you the option!!
@LWRC think about it. You would be losing what you paid in sales tax.
I can't believe ford missed the opportunity to do a massive screen like dodge! I love that dodge screen
After reading the 32 pages of the order guide myself, other than supply issues is there any reason why Ford killed the adaptive steering option for the 23’s?
@Murray Shaw Got it! Thank you!!
@Town and Country TV Thanks Mitchell, I figured vendor problems would probably be the cause, how is Ford handling the 40K+ 22's that are still at the Kentucky speedway? with 23's on the way how is that going to affect dealer stock and prices as they enter the supply chain
@Luv2flyMD www.fordtremor.com/threads/i-spy-with-my-little-eye-2023-sd-spied-for-first-time-new-pics-video.7154/page-63#post-260424
Supplier issues. In the previous generation, it got REALLY hard to get a truck with Adaptive Steering scheduled for production.
Do you have a link for the order guide? Thank you!!
When can we start ordering with YOU? Thanks
THIS is how you should order the new Super Duty…
With lots and lots of patience.
I got 6500 off on upper trim lariat.
That sucks my dealer is under MSRP
@George Katsinis I miss the pre-scamdemic days when you could actually buy a vehicle for under MSRP!
I always walk out too when they mark up the price. It's complete BS and the government does nothing about. I know Ram and Chevy also mark up but Ford is the worst
I'm NEVER paying MSRP plus anything.
Is the new H.O engine going to be reliable like the standard model? I got 250k with zero issues. Hoping to get the same
I am going to purchase 10 year 175k mile maintenance and extend warranty.
I wouldn't be as worried about the engine, but that's a lot of torque for that 10 speed to handle.
No way of knowing, but a lot of people think it may actually be more reliable due to the additional cooling.
I wanted a 6.2 L this year for my needs. Bummer! ✌️🇺🇲

Lets see if I can get a King Ranch by the end of this year
How are we supposed to decide what engine to get if Ford hasn’t released those numbers yet ?
(We clean, rebuild and re-line the diesel engines multiple times to ensure longevity!)
They literally look like new inside and out due to all that every-3-months maintenance and fluid changes and the daily washings!
V
@StarGateSG7 I found out the hard way that Line-X is porous.
@Armed Prophet no you are wrong sorry
@Silent but Deadly correct
Because you shouldnt get one! Fords are trash
Awesome video as always!!!!

So are the over 53k super duty trucks needing chips in Kentucky going to be sold as used? If so when? How can Ford release 2023s prior to the 2022s get fully built?
@little Finkle some banks will go few years back. Some look wether it was titled or not. Just depends on the bank.
@Sher's Garage Banks will not be able to give a new car loan rate on a 2022 when 2023s are available. According to what my friend gave for his 22 Lariat, prices have already reached ridiculous new highs.
Those won't be sold as used. People still will buy them in 2022. Not everyone wants a 2023, especially with price increases.
I work at a Ford supplier where we supply components for the Super Duty. Ford will be assembling and shipping 2022 SD’s from Louisville until the middle of Jan due to the parts shortages. 2023 models will not even start production until Feb since it is a platform change. Don’t hold your breath.

FYI: Mitchell is 6'3" for those of you who have never watched a video before.
Haha! I knew I forgot to mention something!
✍️✍️✍️✍️
Not seeing any mention of a trailer brake controller. Is it standard equipment or does it come in a particular package?
Yeah 👆🆙 👆congratulations don’t miss out

So I keep getting conflicting info on the contour seats - there is a ‘22 that just showed up with them after being told they were not going to have it….
Some earlier builds will have them.
great vid, I would like t know if I could order a new truck using my ford employee pricing
✍️✍️✍️
Great vid. “Cheapest” way to get led headlights on Xlt? Couldn’t find on ford’s configurator. Thanks!
They’ve added sport appearance package on configurator.
✍️✍️✍️✍️
It will be a good day when my 2023 F450 Platinum shows up.
✍️✍️✍️
Does anyone know what the black appearance package will include? I’m ordering a F-350 lariat ultimate with the BAP with all the bells and whistles
We aren't sure yet, but I'm sure it will be very similiar to previous years. Emblems, badging, grill, etc.
How about the 30-40k 2022 Super Duties that were stored Kentucky Speedway about a month ago. Have they been delivered to dealers yet?
I'm quite certain EVERY Ford dealership will be marking these up about 20-30k, count on it
@Chris Johnston I had a 2022 order that the dealer converted to a 2023. It's a rural dealer and I will admit that they have been great to work with so far. I think that they understand how to attract and keep customers long term.
@Rich I've never heard of anyone ordering one for under MSRP
I ordered one for a couple of grand under MSRP. Some dealers, especially in more rural areas, know that people have a long memory.

What is the lowest trim level or package that includes LED headlights?
My fairly new truck was totaled and I need to order something. I went to two different Ford dealerships and they have very limited knowledge on the 2023 ordering. What do I do in this case ? Should Ford Dealerships see a inventory of new 2023 F-Series trucks coming in as lot inventory?
@W J Did they give you a time of build, vin number maybe expected time ? I like to order XLT 250
You better find the better Ford Dealers in your area. I put my order in on 28th at dealer and got the confirm on 30th from Ford.
They priced me out of a new Ford truck. I dont think I will ever buy a Ford again.
Is the STX apperance package a job 1 or 2? Im trying to get a 350 dually
✍️✍️✍️
What option does the Platinum have that the Lariat ultimate package doesn’t?
Previous gen was the multi contour seats. Seems similar this time.
What’s is the diff between the lariat & King Ranch
✍️✍️✍️✍️

Is it going to apply to all of them or do I need to wait on a particular model year
Luckily, CarPlay will soon have a full screen option on the 12" display!
Is it possible to get the tremor package on a regular cab pick up?
LET'S TALK ⤴️⤴️
THANKS FOR WATCHING.
Is heads up display standard on the platinum trim?
LET'S TALK ⤴️⤴️
THANKS FOR WATCHING
So glad ford decided to put 4xt standard on XLT and above
I ready to order the new 2023 super duty thank for the video
✍️✍️..
Do they still offer a snow Plow prep package
This is great for a2023 but what’s happening with all those sitting 2022s?
Why can’t you answer that question here.
✍️✍️✍️✍️
I already ordered my Truck… It’s actually pretty Limited right, because you can’t get an XT with a 7.3… You have to get the XTS which is an Extra $9K… I got the 7.3, but your options are pretty limited.
LET'S TALK ⤴️⤴️
THANKS FOR WATCHING.
When will we get specs on HO diesel along with price up charge?
500hp 1200ftlbs torque
Im still confused on why Fords released the 6.8 and 7.3.
✍️✍️✍️
Hi, looking at a f-250 lariat. Do you have the towing information on the 6.8 with a 3:73, 4:30. On the 7.3 with the same rear axles. What package do you need to order to get the on board scales. Can I still order one for build one. I live in Georgia and I am not far from your dealership. Thank you for the video.
I’m wanting to go back to a SRW F350 and still have the payload to handle my 5th wheel, but they are pricing these trucks to where only someone who owns a business that can write it off can afford it.
I brought my new 2022 super duty to write if off as taxes
✍️✍️✍️✍️
Is there any way to get the Heads Up Display (HUD) in the Lariat?
Yes. You need Lariat Ultimate
Wow, very thorough.
Yeah 👆🆙 👆congratulations don’t miss out

Why can’t they sell the STX package with the full center console like they do the STX 150?
✍️✍️✍️
Does anybody know if you can get the high output diesel in the F550? And is there a down payment to order the truck?
LET'S TALK ⤴️⤴️
THANKS FOR WATCHING.
