I must say you are an inspiration because I started up investing and trading as a scared investor who doesn’t want to lose money, glad to say I’m very profitable now and bought my first house through it
@joesph cu This is the problem! Most times people with little or no knowledge of the stock market try investing by themselves. It once happened to me, then I learned my lesson and contacted a US-based finance consultant by name ''''Ingrid Cecilia Raad'''' and everything changed. In in the first quarter of this year i made $370k and counting.
@erich kraetz I think it's not always about fear, Sometimes realistic factors discourage people from reaching their goals in life. For instance, I've tried investing in the stock market several times but always got discouraged by fluctuations of stock value
Nobody can become financially successful overnight. They put in background work but we tend to see the finished part. Fear is a dangerous component, hindering us from taking bold steps we need in other to reach our goals. you have to contend with inflation, recession, decisions from the Feds and all. I was able to increase my portfolio by $289k in months. You have to seek for help in the right places.
This is inspiring to see. This man is mentally at his peak. He has so many life lessons that resonate. He may be elderly, but he is by no means not in total control and of absolute value to others, as both an example and as an actual working professional. I can only hope I can be as clear-headed as him if I even make it to his age...or rather, I wish I could be as clear-headed now!
@Taylor Hickman no. That's an extrapolation and a generalization. He said that many of the problems from the short-term injection of covid cash will go away by themselves.
Lol. He isnt mentally at his peace. Man literally is in a wheelchair. He cannot walk far on his own. Think about the greed of a man that wants to still work when so frail.
When it comes to the world of investing, most people don't know where to start. Fortunately, great investors of the past and present can provide us with guidance.
@Smoove J I see what you’re getting at. It’s probably why he gets along with Buffet; he’s softer. But I’d place an ASD in the same category as the Vulcans. Munger is normal.
@Smoove J I interpreted this line as, find out what is wrong/bad in your life, find out what is or is not at your fault, cut the latter and fix your issues
Great interview. Covers all areas and Charlie has extensive knowledge and practical advice about these areas. His frank approach is amusing and entertaining. Well done Charlie
Charlie is bursting with wisdom when he speaks. He motivates me a lot on thinking for myself most of the time rather than just going with what everybody else agrees with.
There was a time when we " made it here", we had jobs for everyone and the products were of high quality, then the 1% wanted everything. Now Inflation drives prices up and if Inflation is high and jobs disappear by the millions we are in a recession and maybe headed for a Depression…So be careful with your money. It may take decades to get back on pay again. Luck to all.. I've seen folks make huge 7figure profit in a crashing market and pull it off much easily in a bull market Unequivocally the crash/recession is getting somebody somewhere rich...
I am being guided by "THERESA MARY CHAMBLEE" who I found on a CNBC interview where she was featured and reached out to her. She has since provided entry and exit points on the securities I focus on. You can look her up online if you care supervision.
Interesting. I've a lump sum doing absolutely nothing at all in my bank account, i wanna gets something started with it. You seem to be doing excellent for yourself, how do you achieve this?
I’ve been on both end of the spectrum, I was lnvsting on my own for about 3years, did my own study and analysis before actually buying, things became rather difficult after the pandemic which was right about when I reached out to a Portf0Iio-Manager for guidance, It’s been over 2 years and I’ve scaled up a stagnant reserve of $280K to $700k in just about 24months.
On occasion you can beat the market with blind luck, but I wouldn't depend on it. Having a science background there is a saying, 'Luck favors the informed', I've found it to be true, allowed me in great part to retire early...
I really admire and respect both Warren and Charlie. Knowledge they both share through the interviews is more than like doing MBA Finance or even I think you don't need high qualifications to achieve something big. Just have a right Temperament.
I marvel at his longevity. I think it speaks to how important it is to to stay mentally fit regardless of your age but not sure how they stay so physically fit given all the Coke they drink and peanut brittle they eat. Both Charlie and Warren are an inspiration!
It’s always incredible to hear an almost hundred year old person speak so clearly and cognitively… There are just so many things I wish to ask him. I hope to luckily meet someone like him someday.

It is always enlightening to listen to our seniors and when they are as prudent and successful as Mr. Charlie Munger, it is a blessing to have their opinions.
Since when did we start caring about our seniors? Most people under 40 could care less. Let's get rid of those old folks as fast as we can so we can get our inheritances. No respect for hard work, self-control and education.
I stumbled upon this video thinking I'd just watch it for a few seconds and see what it's about. I ended up watching the whole thing. This man captivating
Building wealth involves developing good habits like regularly putting money away in intervals for solid investments. The stock market has plenty of opportunities to earn which I myself took advantage of. I made my first million from going diverse, mainly ETFs(stocks, bonds etc), bitcoin, and gold. Aside from Munger being a genius, this interview had me laughing my ass off watching Munger give answers with such a stoic straightforward face and the interviewer not having a sense humor returning the favor with an expressionless blank stare right back at Munger. Didn’t expect this to be such a comedy show.
The interviewer does not lack a sense of humor. This is how journalists used to behave and to interact with the people they were reporting on. It puts the subject of reporting in a central perspective in such a way that the interviewer becomes just a vessel for the interview and the interviewee. Unfortunately, this is each day becoming an approach strange to the new generations, more used to podcasts, militant journalism and emotionalism. Not everybody who goes in front of a camera wants to be an influencer.
If you don't find a means of multiplying money, you will wake up one day to realise that the money you thought you had, has finished. Investment is key.

People might think Munger is pompous but his thinking is more rational than 99% of the population. He is an asset to Berkshire & to our entire investment community. This is someone who has very strong opinions but backed up by principled reasoning. Great interview! Thanks for sharing! 👍
Loved hearing him say that he gave half of his money to his children because that is what his late wife would have wanted. It was her money to do with as she pleased. How many Americans still think that their marriage is a team and that each of them owns half of everything they have? Charlie is so wise in his simplistic explanations.
Lol no one could ever verify if that’s even true…BECAUSE SHE’S DEAD. However! I totally agree with Munger. Could you imagine at the end of a life after making billions of dollars, these A-Holes and their contract spin-doctors like Andy Sewer endlessly badger you about why you’re not giving all the money that you earned away to their investment fund so they can make money managing it…what a scam!
@bighand69 ”In the United States, about 50% of married couples divorce, the sixth-highest divorce rate in the world. Subsequent marriages have an even higher divorce rate: 60% of second marriages end in divorce, and 73% of all third marriages end in divorce.”

Charlie Munger is an absolute treasure to Humanity! Great Interview Andy. Thank you for asking your questions and getting out of Charlies way to answer how he saw fit. You let him answer without ever cutting him off and let Charlie be Charlie!

Munger is a great salesman. He quickly and bluntly states that everything about the companies he owns stock in is going to be ok because he knows he would lose stock value if he didn't say that. Him and Buffet also always have their bottles of Coke perfectly facing the camera that they never actually drink from. They want to sell to people that they, the super smart and wealthy, drink Coke so that the average person will too, even though its obvious if you pay attention that they don't drink the garbage.
About his Army experience (at about 35 minutes): As Chief of the Army High Command, Kurt Freiherr von Hammerstein-Equord oversaw the composition of the German manual on military unit command (Truppenführung), dated 17 October 1933. He is quoted as originating a classification scheme for officers: “I distinguish four types. There are clever, hardworking, stupid, and lazy officers. Usually two characteristics are combined. Some are clever and hardworking; their place is the General Staff. The next ones are stupid and lazy; they make up 90 percent of every army and are suited to routine duties. Anyone who is both clever and lazy is qualified for the highest leadership duties, because he possesses the mental clarity and strength of nerve necessary for difficult decisions. One must beware of anyone who is both stupid and hardworking; he must not be entrusted with any responsibility because he will always only cause damage.”
Yeah best at pulling false assertions out of his leprous arris. He doesn't like her but that doesn't negate her B.A. in Economics (ya know Big Money systems stuff.)
If I should start typing and talk how you saved me from debt down to how I got everything I wised for I won't leave here but thanks hanna being the best trader 👆👆

7:08 “Nobody was trying to make the rich richer. It just was an accidental by-product of a correct governmental decision made on a bipartisan basis.” Charlie Munger nailing the reason for income inequality in USA.
It amazes me how the interviewee uses all this, fluff and Charlie uses such simple plain language. The aspirationals are known to use big words and over explain things. Guys like Charlie. Simple. Open. Direct. And that. Is why he is being asked the questions. And not the other way around.
Charlie is my new inspiration. Such an intelligent man en sees the world as it is. His wisdom and philosophy is an eye opener. The common sense from average people is nowhere near of mungers. I admire him. Wish people were more intelligent than "smart".
I must say you are an inspiration because I started up investing and trading as a scared investor who doesn’t want to lose money, glad to say I’m very profitable now and bought my first house through it

Watching Charlie Munger in a verbal exchange with anyone is like watching a chess grandmaster vs a first timer. Top notch intellect
95 years and still working. Thats what happens when you do something you love.
More like that’s what happens when you’ve accumulated a vast sum of wealth that everyone wants to take from you. It’s a full time job to secure it.
He is now 98, turning 99.
It's not like he's doing any real work.....
And his mind is clear.
Ugh!
“standard of human condition is stupidity and ignorance” absolute gold I was laughing my ass off!
For a moment it looked like he snapped back at the interviewer
ya can't really disagree wit him either...
@Smoove J I see what you’re getting at. It’s probably why he gets along with Buffet; he’s softer.
But I’d place an ASD in the same category as the Vulcans. Munger is normal.
It’s true, that’s the feature of the average Joe and at least one standard deviation in either direction. Most neurotypicals are.

Great interview. Covers all areas and Charlie has extensive knowledge and practical advice about these areas. His frank approach is amusing and entertaining. Well done Charlie
Truly anyone who appreciates Charlie while he is still living is blessed.
He is so direct in his answers, makes me think he simply decided he does not have any time left for bs. He can just say things as they are.
agree Pete. Looks like he threw Andy a couple of times lol. Sharp as a tack.
When you are knowledgeable and eloquent, everything else is superfluous, confusing or deceptive.
he was always like that
🎯🎯🎯
@Cal Exactly they were so good in the field because they so sharp and have integrity.
Can never get enough of Charlie Munger.
"The standard human condition is ignorance and stupidity." Finally a man who calls it like it is...
This is absolutely amazing - so much knowledge that needs to be passed onto the next generation!

Charlie Munger is the funniest and wittiest person without even trying. It just comes to him naturally.

I just discovered you Mr. Munger. You have some of the most wonderful, logical, and realistic observations I’ve ever heard. I ❤views on the economy.
We need more Charlie’s in business.
I've always been an advocate of the stock market because it has paid off handsomely since I decided to invest in it.

They want to sell to people that they, the super smart and wealthy, drink Coke so that the average person will too, even though its obvious if you pay attention that they don't drink the garbage.
"we're trying to find intelligent things to do with the torrent of cash", what a feeling that must be

I like the flow of the program Andy. I am very thankful and learned a lot
About his Army experience (at about 35 minutes): As Chief of the Army High Command, Kurt Freiherr von Hammerstein-Equord oversaw the composition of the German manual on military unit command (Truppenführung), dated 17 October 1933.
He is quoted as originating a classification scheme for officers:
“I distinguish four types.
A man of few words that pack a huge punch.
First time I have ever listened to him and a very impressive human being. We need more people like this. Hopefully when I grow up I can be like him.
"I don't think she knows who Adam Smith was" lmao best quote. Munger is the best!
Yeah best at pulling false assertions out of his leprous arris. He doesn't like her but that doesn't negate her B.A. in Economics (ya know Big Money systems stuff.)
That was epic. She is a con artist😆
There is actually a lot wrong with cash building up and Munger knows that.
This is proof the mind ages so much slower than the body. He is sharp and smart yet his body already gave in.
easily one of the wisest/ smartest men alive! Role model!
If I should start typing and talk how you saved me from debt down to how I got everything I wised for I won't leave here but thanks hanna being the best trader 👆👆
Thank you for bringing that interview to us
He gives the best interviews
Charlie: I only invest in things that I’m interested in
Interviewer: can you tell us if Brazil is a good country to invest in?
Charlie: I don’t know that much about Brazil
Interviewer: why?
Charlie: because I only invest in things that I’m interested in.
smh the interviewer keeps asking him stuff he obviously doesn’t care about 🙄
He is a really amazing person. Really expresses himself tremendously and is really well thought out. I have a lot of respect for him.
Both my parents suffered from dementia and at 72 I realize that my recall is slowing down, what a wonderful mind Munger has at his age, I am envious.
Keep active. It helps with the neurons. Good luck to you. Stay well.
Watching this on January 1st, Charlie's birthday
Happy Birthday and a Happy New year to this legendary man!!
🥳🎂🍾🥂
7:08 “Nobody was trying to make the rich richer. It just was an accidental by-product of a correct governmental decision made on a bipartisan basis.” Charlie Munger nailing the reason for income inequality in USA.
“I don’t know. I don’t know everything you know!?”
A brave statement only the truly wiseman will speak, confess, proclaim.

"I don't have to invest in everything that I'm interested in."
95 years of wisdom, simple and wise man. He seems to have great admiration for Singapore and late leader Lee Kuan Yew :)
Good health Sir!
You are right, he is a big admirer of Singapore and Lee Kuan yew.
It amazes me how the interviewee uses all this, fluff and Charlie uses such simple plain language. The aspirationals are known to use big words and over explain things. Guys like Charlie. Simple. Open. Direct. And that. Is why he is being asked the questions. And not the other way around.
When i listen to Charlie, i have to cry. It is so fk good.
Charlie is my new inspiration. Such an intelligent man en sees the world as it is. His wisdom and philosophy is an eye opener. The common sense from average people is nowhere near of mungers. I admire him. Wish people were more intelligent than "smart".
