When an airplane crashes or a bridge collapses, there is a 2 year investigation to determine what lead to the catastrophe. The fact that there is not a full out investigation into something that killed 20 million people is beyond unacceptable and is only criminal.
An excellent and thorough discussion by Matt Ridley and Jordon Peterson that probes the origins of COVID-19. It’s deeply alarming that the pursuit of truth has been been made secondary to fear of consequences. Just because it may be uncomfortable to accept the consequences of truth it doesn’t mean it should be ignored or swept under the carpet.
It was an OK discussion with some value, but they were both on the same side of the issue so there wasn't a lot of true skeptical inquiry--just shared skepticism of the so-called mainstream. In my opinion. I also found myself thoroughly unconvinced by Peterson's logic at many moments, disappointed at his usual contrarian sentimentality.. But hey...it's good to hear a civil discussion even if they just about entirely agreed with each other.
@Gerard Vaughan The fact that Covid virus did originate in Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) and started Pandemic that accidentally escaped (probably in Sept 2019) following an extensive program of research into Biological Warfare in Wuhan. It’s now known that WIV tried to suppress truth and conveniently removed access to SARS2 virus Database, previously in public domain. This gives serious concern that there existed a virus resembling SARS 2 Covid 19. Subsequent World Health Organisation Enquiry into the Source of Covid 19, consisting of Scientists with knowledge of the program conveniently ignored this fact and concluded possible zoonosis (natural) origin.
One of the most important and positive things about recent years is that we have gained an insight into the world of politicians and their International Forces and how shit really works. I dunno folks I think the promotion of a lab leak theory is probably a red herring. More likely the emergence of Covid 19 is a symptom of the severe and critical impairment of the earths capacity to detoxify itself. Call me crazy, … at least we got an expert on board At about minutes 15-19 the discussion turns to the genetic sequence and references “ a feering 😅” feature that is possibly an indication the virus was engineered. The consulted expert in beige sports jacket mentions that this feature has been found in other viruses but he doesn’t elaborate. Now this is interesting but I hypothesize that we should be cautious in assuming a geographical point of origin near this lab in wuhan is not proof it actually came from there. What geopolitical powers exist that would like to implicate Chinese authorities or actors were responsible? And set them up to take the blame, to suffer the consequences and perhaps not coincidental ly, set a precedent for how to address the public health crisis, in an authoritarian non democratic socio political context. Bottom line is cleaner environment s are an important if not essential line of defense between people other living things and pathogens. As long as the powers that control public health policy and buy vaccines for the immunization programs continue to toe the line that mass immunization is the appropriate strategy to resolve the pandemic we are unlikely to ever truly beat it. You're on the right track Jordan and thank you very much. Being human is the practice of consciousness or the lack there of in many cases. I enjoy how you're both expressing beautifully your given practices however there is no one prevailing truth per se but a practice of bringing enlightenment (as you have repeatedly stated that word) to humanity on our little blue marble spinning while traveling through the galaxy and universe. What an amazing thing to imagine if every human being on this earth could for even 3 seconds view the planet from space and all it's glory I doubt they would (along with all the people who have had that opportunity) contemplate who or what created it or how fast it spins in those brief moments. The pursuit of truth, like the existence of love is not stagnant, but form from formlessness. What is real accepted unilaterally. I lived in Qingdao during the winter of 2019 to the summer of 2020 (a city south of Beijing, near the coast to Seoul). At the very start of January, when the lockdown happened (they closed all highways in and out of every city, INCLUDING trucks carrying grocery store supplies), they announced CLEARLY on mainstream national TV that the virus could transmit WITHOUT you showing any symptoms, the importance of washing hands with alcohol, wearing masks, and that even if you DONT feel sick, you shouldnt go outside unless you need to. I'm talking day 1 of the outbreak, they did this, and openly said this to everyone on national TV. They knew from day 1 that it could spread asymptematically, and that it was a serious deal, or they wouldnt have reacted this way. If they DIDNT know what this virus was from day 1, they would NOT have locked down every city, they would NOT have known it could spread asymptematically (which USA only "realized" in April the same year, which is ridiculous, that the entire US government doesnt have a single person capable of translating Chinese news lol). Which makes the whole thing even more weird, almost as if Fauci and buddies wanted it to spread.. There's simply no rational way that Chinese people on the street knew it could spread asymptematically in January 2020, and USA's president and WHO chairman only realized it in April. And lets not even start about the way that USA and UK media reported the death statistics as fine printed "Deaths by ANY REASON 90 days post infection", which makes no logical or scientific sense in any possible form of analytics.. Except for inflating the numbers. No other crisis in human history, have had deaths statistics shown as "Deaths for any reason", it has only specifically listed the people that died directly from said crisis (obviously, because this is how science is done). So that brings another question, WHY did the medias intentionally (because you dont do this by accident), want to inflate the death statistics? This has nothing to do with conspiracy theory. These are open facts you can look up right now. They DID in fact list deaths as "by any reason", rather than explicitly from covid hospitalization. Nobody asks why. Why would there be an interest in artificially increasing the statistic even when it flies in the face of the scientific process? Because if you ask "why", you VERY quickly enter the realm of conspiracy theory. And this is obvious, because IF they did skew the statistics (which is fact, not opinion, it can be looked up right now), THEN that means it was intentional, because you dont randomly spread the same data set and graphs to 150 news channels around the world without first checking the source, or what values the X and Y of the graph are tied to. Thus whoever chose the graphs, day by day, week by week, KNEW that the statistics were artificially skewed, and they CHOSE INTENTIONALLY to continue displaying those statistics instead of the objective statistics (because counting a car crash as "death by covid" isnt objective or scientific). This is why this entire topic gets cancelled even today. Because you CANNOT ask the big questions, without AUTOMATICALLY ending up in conspiracy land. Because SOMETHING seriously wrong was going on, intentionally. And of course, last year USA passed a bill that allows their agencies to classify Misinformation, Malinformation, and Conspiracy theories, as a terrorist act. Meaning it is automatically impossible to discuss this without, by simple "physics" of logic, ending up in one of those 3 labels. What a world it has become.

Maybe its growing up during the ColdWar watching communist countries censor truths from their publics...but now whenever the government or Mainstream Media censor something - like the Lab Leak theory - it automatically gives that something merit.....that things that are true and threaten the Official Narrative are censored....When i hear this scientist or that scientist is being censored it just makes me want to hear what those scientists are saying more than i probably would have if they had not been censored...that is the stupidity of Censorship : it actually gives what is Censored much more of an audience and credibility than if the authorities had just said nothing.

@Neil Cowan I'm sorry but I sympathize and agree with Tony I didn't get any of the vaccines I came close but I'm so glad I didnt. In fact I didn't do a single damn thing different to how I went about my day to day life and I didn't even get sick there was a pretty strong "cold" I had about the middle of December before April when everything was locked down and I was even homeless at the time living in a tent don't even know if it was COVID or not but I recovered. I'm 54 years old and I would have rather gotten COVID then go around for the rest of my life worrying about heart attacks, stroke or blood clots. The only different thing I did was put on a mask to go into the store because they made me and if I don't want to starve then I guess I'll put it on. But I am glad that I listened to my gut feeling and said to myself I'd rather die free then give up my freedom of choice to then to be a slave in the name of safety and compliance for something they really knew nothing about. I agree it killed a lot of people, I'm not saying it wasn't real. But what I am saying is the vaccines hurt a lot of people to and to give up ones job, there livelyhoods , there freedoms and all for the sake of people that I don't even know only to be left with more health problems then I had in the first place, no way in hell. I'm sorry to everyone who lost loved ones but what good is safety when your children are missing their education or they end up stupid because they missed so much school or their in the poorhouse because you had to shut down your small business. I was in a Genetics course in spring 2020. In May at the end of the semester I asked for office hours after the final to speak with the professor over Zoom after the switch from in-person to virtual. I had the unique opportunity to ask my professor, a PhD in Genetics, what was the likelihood that this was developed in a laboratory versus originating on a chopping block in a wet market. This was before many of the details came out about the different species that would have combined to originate the virus in successive events. She told me the likelihood of that was unimaginable, that it would take two evolutionary jumps in a singular event. This was before the lab-leak was truly vilified, people still considered it. It doesn't go simply from zoonose (animal to human), and then simultaneously to airborne. It's not that those are mutually exclusive, it's that the probability of that happening at once, is more mathematically irresponsible to claim organically than it being created in a lab. So, we're vilified publicly for thinking the virus was lab produced for a year, when it's more wildly unlikely that this event ever could have happened on a chopping block. I mean that when I say it, it's more mathematically irresponsible to say this "just" occurred in a wet market. I'd like to know how many places in decimal positions to the negative power each event would have in probability so that people could see how silly it was to have ever claimed it came from a wet market. Can't tell you how redeeming it was to see the gain of function funding come to light.
I worked in the field of dance. I experienced awe in certain performances I was fortunate enough to be cast in. The job 9-5 was hard hard work. Lots of pain. The training years from age 6 were soul destroying. It seemed I was constantly told how technically bad a dancer I was. So much so, that when I won a scholarship to a full time school I couldn’t believe it. I loved my time there. My hard work was rewarded. I began to think maybe I had talent. I got a job in the best company in my country and I loved my life. But the job is all practice practice practice. You have to love that endless work. But the reward is the awe on stage. Not in every dance. Just a few magical creations. It reminded me of the scientific quest for truth. It is outside of the physical world. It is magic for want of a better word. And what is magic, but something created that is not understood, impossible, but appearing before one’s eyes regardless.
I'd be interested in a further discussion that reviews other labs/locations that the gain of function research is being conducted including here in the US. Also, has there been any investigation into claims that the virus may have been spreading much earlier in 2019? Some individuals even in the US allege 2 have had the virus in the early fall. I disagree that there are only 2 possibilities. There is a 3rd scenario that is so terrible, so terrifying that the world refuses to attend. It’s possible that the release was purposeful. Some would say none would release such hell on their own people, but a bad actor not impeded by ethics, might do exactly that to avoid finger pointing and create the illusion of victim hood in order to throw the world into chaos and use the distraction to gain power. Two legends. It is really interesting watching this video of Jordan (after many others) where I think he feels that he is paired with someone of a similarly beautiful mind. He is stimulated. I haven't seen him this on fire before, and I believe it's because it is rare to find someone of similar caliber to him. Most of the others he has been interviewed by or spoken to bore him. The most curious question is that of which involves that of another individual and what they know, this person is the author of "Dreamland" a story of the opioid epidemic in the US. One that is notably hard/trying to read, similar to your interview of Charles Joseph, there are details that are, at times, deeply troubling. What I mean to ask is, do you think you would/could consider interviewing the author, Sam Quinones. My thoughts is that, through the seemingly documentary of such forces insightful knowledge as to how certain players came into play, namely bigpharma, and others. I can understand if it would be asking too much, and if so, maybe you should read the book. There is much to be said, that isn't being said. My 18 year old son was teaching English as a charity volunteer, In Huanan east of Harbin in China (north of Vladivostok) in 2019. He was due to leave at the end of the year but his charity pulled him and all other volunteers out of China in October due to a new flu like virus spreading. One wonders if this was covid-19.
Dr Montagnier in France said from the beginning that the virus was not of natural origins and when he died, he wasn't paid a single homage by the state. He was utterly ostracized and forgotten for his denial of the BS the state had been telling people. He was a nobel prize winner and a great man. It pains me to this day to see how they treated him.

I'm studying exactly how to engineer proteins, and it's been jarring to learn material that makes it pretty obvious that the virus was engineered. The first gut punch for me was seeing the CDC pop up on a Google search saying that the jab was safe for pregnant women. No footnotes or anything. Just flat out bypassing “talk with your doctor,” “possible contraindications” (as in, certain people should avoid it due to diseases, medications, etc.) I never dreamed I’d see the day they bypassed the physician-patient relationship & issued a blanket claim so boldly. I mean that was my gut punch, if you will.

I have said for many years that "science is the study of creation". I love the point discussed in this video that if humans don't put their faith in a transcendent being, entity, we will put that faith in something else, like a human being or an ideology based on human ideas (re: Communism). At about minutes 15-19 the discussion turns to the genetic sequence and references “ a feering 😅” feature that is possibly an indication the virus was engineered. The consulted expert in beige sports jacket mentions that this feature has been found in other viruses but he doesn’t elaborate.
Now this is interesting but I hypothesize that we should be cautious in assuming a geographical point of origin near this lab in wuhan is not proof it actually came from there. What geopolitical powers exist that would like to implicate Chinese authorities or actors were responsible? And set them up to take the blame, to suffer the consequences and perhaps not coincidental ly, set a precedent for how to address the public health crisis, in an authoritarian non democratic socio political context.
Bottom line is cleaner environment s are an important if not essential line of defense between people other living things and pathogens.
As long as the powers that control public health policy and buy vaccines for the immunization programs continue to toe the line that mass immunization is the appropriate strategy to resolve the pandemic we are unlikely to ever truly beat it.

I lived in Qingdao during the winter of 2019 to the summer of 2020 (a city south of Beijing, near the coast to Seoul).
At the very start of January, when the lockdown happened (they closed all highways in and out of every city, INCLUDING trucks carrying grocery store supplies), they announced CLEARLY on mainstream national TV that the virus could transmit WITHOUT you showing any symptoms, the importance of washing hands with alcohol, wearing masks, and that even if you DONT feel sick, you shouldnt go outside unless you need to.
I'm talking day 1 of the outbreak, they did this, and openly said this to everyone on national TV.
They knew from day 1 that it could spread asymptematically, and that it was a serious deal, or they wouldnt have reacted this way.
If they DIDNT know what this virus was from day 1, they would NOT have locked down every city, they would NOT have known it could spread asymptematically (which USA only "realized" in April the same year, which is ridiculous, that the entire US government doesnt have a single person capable of translating Chinese news lol).
Which makes the whole thing even more weird, almost as if Fauci and buddies wanted it to spread..
There's simply no rational way that Chinese people on the street knew it could spread asymptematically in January 2020, and USA's president and WHO chairman only realized it in April.
And lets not even start about the way that USA and UK media reported the death statistics as fine printed "Deaths by ANY REASON 90 days post infection", which makes no logical or scientific sense in any possible form of analytics.. Except for inflating the numbers.
No other crisis in human history, have had deaths statistics shown as "Deaths for any reason", it has only specifically listed the people that died directly from said crisis (obviously, because this is how science is done).
So that brings another question, WHY did the medias intentionally (because you dont do this by accident), want to inflate the death statistics?
This has nothing to do with conspiracy theory.
These are open facts you can look up right now.
They DID in fact list deaths as "by any reason", rather than explicitly from covid hospitalization.
Nobody asks why. Why would there be an interest in artificially increasing the statistic even when it flies in the face of the scientific process?
Because if you ask "why", you VERY quickly enter the realm of conspiracy theory.
And this is obvious, because IF they did skew the statistics (which is fact, not opinion, it can be looked up right now), THEN that means it was intentional, because you dont randomly spread the same data set and graphs to 150 news channels around the world without first checking the source, or what values the X and Y of the graph are tied to.
Thus whoever chose the graphs, day by day, week by week, KNEW that the statistics were artificially skewed, and they CHOSE INTENTIONALLY to continue displaying those statistics instead of the objective statistics (because counting a car crash as "death by covid" isnt objective or scientific).
This is why this entire topic gets cancelled even today.
Because you CANNOT ask the big questions, without AUTOMATICALLY ending up in conspiracy land.
Because SOMETHING seriously wrong was going on, intentionally.
And of course, last year USA passed a bill that allows their agencies to classify Misinformation, Malinformation, and Conspiracy theories, as a terrorist act.

@Neil Cowan I'm sorry but I sympathize and agree with Tony I didn't get any of the vaccines I came close but I'm so glad I didnt. In fact I didn't do a single damn thing different to how I went about my day to day life and I didn't even get sick there was a pretty strong "cold" I had about the middle of December before April when everything was locked down and I was even homeless at the time living in a tent don't even know if it was COVID or not but I recovered. I'm 54 years old and I would have rather gotten COVID then go around for the rest of my life worrying about heart attacks, stroke or blood clots. The only different thing I did was put on a mask to go into the store because they made me and if I don't want to starve then I guess I'll put it on. But I am glad that I listened to my gut feeling and said to myself I'd rather die free then give up my freedom of choice to then to be a slave in the name of safety and compliance for something they really knew nothing about. I agree it killed a lot of people, I'm not saying it wasn't real. But what I am saying is the vaccines hurt a lot of people to and to give up ones job, there livelyhoods , there freedoms and all for the sake of people that I don't even know only to be left with more health problems then I had in the first place, no way in hell. I'm sorry to everyone who lost loved ones but what good is safety when your children are missing their education or they end up stupid because they missed so much school or their in the poorhouse because you had to shut down your small business. I was in a Genetics course in spring 2020. In May at the end of the semester I asked for office hours after the final to speak with the professor over Zoom after the switch from in-person to virtual. I had the unique opportunity to ask my professor, a PhD in Genetics, what was the likelihood that this was developed in a laboratory versus originating on a chopping block in a wet market. This was before many of the details came out about the different species that would have combined to originate the virus in successive events. She told me the likelihood of that was unimaginable, that it would take two evolutionary jumps in a singular event. This was before the lab-leak was truly vilified, people still considered it. It doesn't go simply from zoonose (animal to human), and then simultaneously to airborne. It's not that those are mutually exclusive, it's that the probability of that happening at once, is more mathematically irresponsible to claim organically than it being created in a lab. So, we're vilified publicly for thinking the virus was lab produced for a year, when it's more wildly unlikely that this event ever could have happened on a chopping block. I mean that when I say it, it's more mathematically irresponsible to say this "just" occurred in a wet market. I'd like to know how many places in decimal positions to the negative power each event would have in probability so that people could see how silly it was to have ever claimed it came from a wet market. Can't tell you how redeeming it was to see the gain of function funding come to light.

I worked in the field of dance. I experienced awe in certain performances I was fortunate enough to be cast in. The job 9-5 was hard hard work. Lots of pain. The training years from age 6 were soul destroying. It seemed I was constantly told how technically bad a dancer I was. So much so, that when I won a scholarship to a full time school I couldn’t believe it. I loved my time there. My hard work was rewarded. I began to think maybe I had talent. I got a job in the best company in my country and I loved my life. But the job is all practice practice practice. You have to love that endless work. But the reward is the awe on stage. Not in every dance. Just a few magical creations. It reminded me of the scientific quest for truth. It is outside of the physical world. It is magic for want of a better word. And what is magic, but something created that is not understood, impossible, but appearing before one’s eyes regardless.
I'd be interested in a further discussion that reviews other labs/locations that the gain of function research is being conducted including here in the US. Also, has there been any investigation into claims that the virus may have been spreading much earlier in 2019? Some individuals even in the US allege 2 have had the virus in the early fall. I'd like an explanation of this.

Thanks for your courage to disclose the nature of Covid 19. I was working for more then 30 yesrs in the field of study of genetic modifacations and their impact on expression of genes. It is possible to conclude with very hight probabilty : modifications of genetic expression related to adaptation of replication of Covid 19 in Humans were done in Hight tech Labs and leak of modified viruses definataly connected with a sanitasion negligence of members of staff infolved in that reseach.
And that is a perfect example of quality communication. This killed my remaining little brother in July. And stopped me from saying goodbye.

I disagree that there are only 2 possibilities. There is a 3rd scenario that is so terrible, so terrifying that the world refuses to attend. It’s possible that the release was purposeful. Two legends. It is really interesting watching this video of Jordan (after many others) where I think he feels that he is paired with someone of a similarly beautiful mind. He is stimulated. I haven't seen him this on fire before, and I believe it's because it is rare to find someone of similar caliber to him. Most of the others he has been interviewed by or spoken to bore him. Like talking to a five year old and trying to seem interested in what they have to say lol.
Jordan is even more animated talking with Helen Joyce. And she matches him in wit and eloquence too, unlike this guy Matt with his terrible speech impediment.

The most curious question is that of which involves that of another individual and what they know, this person is the author of "Dreamland" a story of the opioid epidemic in the US. One that is notably hard/trying to read, similar to your interview of Charles Joseph, there are details that are, at times, deeply troubling. What I mean to ask is, do you think you would/could consider interviewing the author, Sam Quinones. My thoughts is that, through the seemingly documentary of such forces insightful knowledge as to how certain players came into play, namely bigpharma, and others.
I can understand if it would be asking too much, and if so, maybe you should read the book. There is much to be said, that isn't being said.

My 18 year old son was teaching English as a charity volunteer, In Huanan east of Harbin in China (north of Vladivostok) in 2019. He was due to leave at the end of the year but his charity pulled him and all other volunteers out of China in October due to a new flu like virus spreading. One wonders if this was covid-19.

Dr Montagnier in France said from the beginning that the virus was not of natural origins and when he died, he wasn't paid a single homage by the state. He was utterly ostracized and forgotten for his denial of the BS the state had been telling people. He was a nobel prize winner and a great man. It pains me to this day to see how they treated him.

The universities are churning it out in all disciplines. I first encountered it around 2015 regarding art through a friend's daughter who was a student. When I'd gone through art the idea was, ART IS ART, it aims to find universal truths that transcend space (national boundaries) and time (fickle trends), it MUST NOT aim to be political or it becomes nothing more than POLITICAL PROPAGANDA. But she said, "Oh no, all art is political, and as a member of society artists have a RESPONSIBILITY to BE POLITICAL" to put their views forth to help society.
This view is sweeping through ALL disciplines. Nothing is pure anymore. Nothing is exploratory. Everything is just political SALESMANSHIP, people with PRECONCEIVED NOTIONS trying to SELL their notions through using the TOOLS of their disciplines! There is no honest inquiry anymore. They don't undertake their endeavors no matter where it leads. They already KNOW where they want it to lead.

I listen to the adds as my form of payment for Dr. Peterson's educational services. An exceedingly small price to pay, IMO.
I fast forward through the ads. Do u really think the good doctor would give away his time for free? The sponsors of the video pay his salary and the salaries of the other ppl working on this video and it helps pay utilities for where he's shooting the video at. If u were in his shoes would u work for free? U get paid to work at your job, why shouldn't he get paid for his?
The first gut punch for me was seeing the CDC pop up on a Google search saying that the jab was safe for pregnant women. No footnotes or anything. Just flat out bypassing “talk with your doctor,” “possible contraindications” (as in, certain people should avoid it due to diseases, medications, etc.) I never dreamed I’d see the day they bypassed the physician-patient relationship & issued a blanket claim so boldly. I mean that was my gut punch, if you will.

I have said for many years that "science is the study of creation". I love the point discussed in this video that if humans don't put their faith in a transcendent being, entity, we will put that faith in something else, like a human being or an ideology based on human ideas (re: Communism).
