This used to be my birthday cake when I was a kid in Greece, only my mum would add some metaxa brandy in the milk(they didn't worry about alcohol and little kids those days!) and instead of savoiardi crumbs on top she'd add caramelised hazelnuts that were then blitzed in small pieces, it was delicious, this brought back some memories ♥️
