I cannot get enough of Imagine Dragons. Radioactive was the first song that really drew me towards them and I've been a die hard fan since. I absolutely love how when they make music, they don't just make them quick and catchy so more people will listen and to make more money, they actually put time into their music and put every ounce of their emotion into the things they sing about. I love them and will forever listen to their music. This is by far the most emotion, hard work, and dedication I have seen put into the lyrics, music video, and music. I cannot recommend these guys enough.

I am a 47-year-old father of three. I did not know much about there music until I saw them on Saturday Night Live, I was actually watching it with my son and he's like dad this is the band I listen to all the time, now I'm a huge fan myself. I'm proud that my son has him as a role model. There music has a techno ambient sound that reminds me a lot of the music that I listened to when I was younger.
So many captivating theories here. I’ll give mine: The owner of a strange house in the middle of a forest in an undisclosed location is sitting in the middle of a room in his house, pondering on the past and various sins committed by him and his family that he regrets along with them, questioning if Heaven will save them from these sins. Just as he is about to make a bold statement, he hears water sloshing at the upstairs floor. The house is populated by some strange entities, one of them wielding a set of grossly long arms compared to the rest of its body, of which is off camera. It is seen playing a piano as the footage goes on. A female member of the family fell asleep in the bathroom tub and is drowning. The owner of the house seems to have found her, and a brief clip of water running across the floor as he steps towards its source confirms this. The owner of the house finds the woman unresponsive, and, upset with her passing, grabs a shovel from his shed and proceeds to dig a grave for the woman, as he assumes that she is dead. Despite this he seems to have a lot of energy, getting rather playful and flashy as he jumps onto the pile of dirt he is in the process of constructing. He sees that the woman is suddenly alive again, but for fear that she has become a zombie, hurls a shovel-full of dirt onto her as some crows fly overhead. After heading back inside, the owner of the house turns on a light that then proceeds to swing back and fourth repeatedly, while making claims about “a wrong within the past” and “the light within the dark trees”. He is seen in another room where he is writing the woman’s death notice, in a rather long document, detailing every notable event of her life, and the cause of death. As he ponders the horrors of the world while doing this, he suddenly becomes embarrassed of his situation and grimaces before facepalming, overwhelmed by the reality of the tragic event that is this woman’s suspected death. The woman is actually still alive, and while the other members of the family are preparing for the woman’s funeral, an elderly female member of the family notices the woman fleeing while looking through a window. The woman, noticeably petrified, quickly stops in her tracks, as she is being chased by an abnormally tall male member of the family that the owner of the house has sent on “guard duty” to ensure that if the woman comes back from “the dead”, she will not be able to hurt anyone. During this time, the owner of the house states that he’d much rather be the “hunter” than the “prey”, and in a previous shot, he is seen bringing his hands towards his head in a praying gesture. He is clearly taking caution with every next move he makes at this point, not wanting to make the problem more concrete than it already is. After this, the shot of the funeral starts as funeral attendance by multiple members of the family, young and old, starts taking place. During this time, still riled up by the woman’s apparent death, the owner of the house tries to lighten the mood of the funeral with some flashy stunts to entertain his family, and to let off some of his anger on the whole situation. But deep inside, he’s a lot more scared than he allows himself to look, as he goes back inside, this time in a dark room where he is the only thing we can see. Inside this room, he looks more calm and cutting straight to the point, he admits that he’s fading to black. He reflects on the oaths that he has taken and swears not to break them, but feeling that the end is on it’s way, he prays that he will make it. In the background, the woman, whose name is revealed to be “Natalie” by her gravestone, bursts her hand out of the ground and digs herself out, proceeding to locate and attack the owner of the house off-camera, as she is now completely zombified. She eventually somehow manages to rip his heart out, and after the clip in which the owner prays that he will make it, the footage cuts to the aftermath of the attack, in which the owner of the house is thrashing about in pain, begging the Lord to let him make it. The pain becomes too much, and he tries to catch his balance upon almost tripping backward, revealing the hole in his heart from the attack. Despite this effort, he is in too much pain to open his eyes, and ends up tripping backward anyway. The camera then cuts to scenes of the owner of the house coughing on the ground and struggling, and the elderly woman from earlier who was looking out the window, appearing to see the owner of house dying and holding out her hand whilst screaming in shock at the preposterous sight. The camera cuts to a scene of the owner of house trying to keep his balance, struggling against both pain and gravity, not knowing that he is going to die. And by the end of the video, the house is left without an owner, and in the hands of whoever out of the members of the family that fate should decide will become the new owner. At the end of the day, this video is a horror video that talks about the world around us and potrays the fear of death, especially those of ones close to us, and by extension, the conflict that is life, and why one should never give up in the face of trouble. The woman, noticeably petrified, quickly stops in her tracks, as she is being chased by an abnormally tall male member of the family that the owner of the house has sent on “guard duty” to ensure that if the woman comes back from “the dead”, she will not be able to hurt anyone.
During this time, the owner of the house states that he’d much rather be the “hunter” than the “prey”, and in a previous shot, he is seen bringing his hands towards his head in a praying gesture. He is clearly taking caution with every next move he makes at this point, not wanting to make the problem more concrete than it already is. After this, the shot of the funeral starts as funeral attendance by multiple members of the family, young and old, starts taking place.
During this time, still riled up by the woman’s apparent death, the owner of the house tries to lighten the mood of the funeral with some flashy stunts to entertain his family, and to let off some of his anger on the whole situation.
But deep inside, he’s a lot more scared than he allows himself to look, as he goes back inside, this time in a dark room where he is the only thing we can see. Inside this room, he looks more calm and cutting straight to the point, he admits that he’s fading to black. He reflects on the oaths that he has taken and swears not to break them, but feeling that the end is on it’s way, he prays that he will make it.
In the background, the woman, whose name is revealed to be “Natalie” by her gravestone, bursts her hand out of the ground and digs herself out, proceeding to locate and attack the owner of the house off-camera, as she is now completely zombified. She eventually somehow manages to rip his heart out, and after the clip in which the owner prays that he will make it, the footage cuts to the aftermath of the attack, in which the owner of the house is thrashing about in pain, begging the Lord to let him make it.
The pain becomes too much, and he tries to catch his balance upon almost tripping backward, revealing the hole in his heart from the attack. Despite this effort, he is in too much pain to open his eyes, and ends up tripping backward anyway. The camera then cuts to scenes of the owner of the house coughing on the ground and struggling, and the elderly woman from earlier who was looking out the window, appearing to see the owner of house dying and holding out her hand whilst screaming in shock at the preposterous sight.
The camera cuts to a scene of the owner of house trying to keep his balance, struggling against both pain and gravity, not knowing that he is going to die. And by the end of the video, the house is left without an owner, and in the hands of whoever out of the members of the family that fate should decide will become the new owner.
At the end of the day, this video is a horror video that talks about the world around us and potrays the fear of death, especially those of ones close to us, and by extension, the conflict that is life, and why one should never give up in the face of trouble.
